ROCK SOLID REFUGE - Restoring Adolescent Lives

A major component of Rock Solid is the Edu-cation program. Our fully accredited school teaches grades 7 to 12. The teaching staff help the students make good decisions, ask good questions, seek truth, develop critical thinking, and use discernment. Education helps students recover from their life con-trolling issues and prepares them for their futures.

Rock Solid Refuge is in need of some-one who could pick up a dust collec-tor for their wood working shop. It weighs about 5000 pounds and it will require a 30 foot flat bed trailer for hauling. If you do not have a mailbox you will find a stack in the foyer on the coffee counter. They are due back Monday - September 17 @ 5:00 PM in the Church Office.

Church Board Update

The Board met on August 16th, and a decision was made to reactivate the Pastoral Relations Committee. This is a committee that is in our bylaws, but has been inactive the past number of years.

The purpose of this committee is “to assist in making the pastor’s ministry success-ful”. It is a conferring and counseling committee only, directly responsible to the Church Board.

The Board will appoint four people to serve on this committee. The members of this committee need to be:

• Persons of spiritual maturity

• Who understand the congregation

• Who understand the expectations of the pastor, as established by the Board

• Who are Spirit-filled

The Board is welcoming suggested names of people that can be considered for ap-pointment. Please submit names to the Board, through the chair Dennis Punter.
