Meet The Advisors
Entry for the EWH Design Competition
Provide Hospitals in the Developing world with a method to gauge patient response to HIV treatment
This information helps doctors determine the best way to suppress HIV in early stages
Design a device that can reproduce this method at a low cost
First Project: HIV Treatment Analysis
Work alongside UCSD healthcare professionals to streamline a novel biological assay
Prototype an inexpensive thermocycler needed to run PCR for the assay
Learn how to design a temperature control system
Gain experience in engineering product development and documentation
Year-long project commitment Open to All Majors
HIV Treatment Project Team
Hands on soldering and project experience Assemble kits from EWH National Kits used in low resource settings to
diagnose malfunctioning equipment
