In many ways, the Petrolia & Enniskillen Agricultural Society resembles a large extended family. Each member contributes to the overall success of our organization by generously donating their time and energy throughout the year. When we encounter challenges and change, we're able to utilize our various strengths to adapt and overcome obstacles. Although we may passionately debate how to best address these issues, ultimately we all come together for the common goal of creating a yearly event our entire community can enjoy and be proud of. All those 'family members ' who quietly volunteer their time and resources are what make's this event possible, and the best way to thank them is to come out and enjoy our fair!

During the remainder of my term as President, I look forward to undertaking strategic planning with our Board of Directors to develop a clear road map for our society in the years ahead. I would also like to quickly thank our Board of Directors, Committee chairs and members, Volunteers, Community service groups, Exhibitors, and fair-goers for continuing to do what you do, and making it all work. It doesn't go unnoticed.

ENJOY the 2019 Petrolia & Enniskillen Fall Fair, and I'll see you on the fairgrounds!

Thank you

Amber Walker is the Owner and CEO at Amber

Walker Events located in Toronto, she has years

of experience planning all types of events,

however Amber specializes in high profile

corporate functions and has worked with many reputable companies such as:

Red Cross, HOBY, Municipal Property Tax Assessment (MPAC), & Breast Cancer

Society to just name a few. Prior to Amber starting , Amber Amber Walker Events

graduated from George Brown's Special Event Planning program and in her last

year of college she got scooped up to work at a startup events company where

she built the events and operations department from the ground up for the next

three years. During this time, she planned conferences, summits and parties all

over Chicago, New York & California for high level executives. And recently,

Amber has been featured in Narcity's “top 18 event planners in Toronto.” While

Amber is an expert in her field of work, she absolutely loves fairs and baking and

served on our Petrolia Fair Board as a Junior Director when she was 16 and also

that same year she served as one of our Junior Directors she became our

youngest Bake Queen we have ever had. Not long after, Amber's family relocated

their business to Brantford but she always still had hope of becoming the Petrolia

and Enniskillen Fair Ambassador one day. If you know or knew Amber, then you

would know that her claim to fame and the reason for her success is as a result of

her attitude about 'making things happen and that's just what she did.

Regardless of her living so far from her beloved town, Amber Walker became our

Although sports groups and the general public have access to the facilities, Greenwood Park is privately owned. The Petrolia & Enniskillen District Agricultural Society also goes by the name of the Petrolia & Enniskillen Fairboard. The Society has a legal agreement & contract with the Town of Petrolia. The Town of Petrolia takes care of the grounds as well as the sporting events or renting out for usage of grounds. The society holds an agreement with the Petrolia Lions who maintain and care for all functions at their Greenwood Pavilion & Hall. Greenwood Palace is maintained & made available for functions only by the Society.

Where different varieties are shown in one class, such as roses by colour, one variety is not judged against another, but whether it is a better specimen of its variety than others of its own variety.Rose blooms should be one half to three quarters open at time of judging.Height is an important factor in arrangements where a definite purpose is specified, such as a dining room table or mantel display.Nosegay - Small tied bouquet, suitable to carry in hand.
