Since 2009, CHS has averaged a 91% pass rate on AP Exams
Chelsea High School was recognized in the fall of 2011 as a “Beating the Odds” school by the state of Michigan. When compared to 30 schools that have similar demographics, CHS came up #1 in academic excellence.
EXCELLENCE AT CHS In the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools
2012 rankings, Chelsea High School was ranked 21st out of 826 high schools in the State of Michigan and earned silver medal recognition.
CHS was ranked again in 2013 and continuing this trend, we were again recognized by the U.S. News and World Report in 2014 as one of the top performing high schools in the state of Michigan. This ranking placed CHS in the top 3% of all public schools in the state of Michigan as well as the top 4% nationally and earned CHS silver medal recognition for a second time in three years.

Our Guidance & Counseling office is here to serve! ACADEMIC COUNSELING:
• Assist in appropriate course selections • Assist in career exploration, planning & employment • Assist in college and/or vocational planning
TESTING PLANNING & PREPARATION: • SAT, ACT, PLAN, MEAP, PSAT, ASVAB, etc.
PERSONAL COUNSELING:
• Assist in conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships, motivation, organization and appropriate referral when required.
• Provide a safe place to come based on confidentiality and trust.
