ExpectationsChildren are expected to follow

the school’s classroom rules which are on display in every room. There are plenty of occasions

when we encourage discussion but there are also times when we ask the children to work in silence.

We also try to develop the children’s ability to work

independently.

Rewards follow the school’s Cloud System. Children start each day on the Sun and can move up to the Star for exemplary behaviour. Rewards

include Golden Time, certificates and house-points. (This has just been

reviewed after discussion with children/School Council.)

Warnings follow the school system; initial warning (which can be

collective,) moving away from others, miss play and seeing

Headteacher/parents for serious incidents.

HomeworkThe children will be given spellings on a Friday and tested on a Wednesday. In addition to this, they will receive maths

homework (which will usually be Mathletics.) This is issued on Friday and returned on or

before the following Wednesday. Later in the year children will receive mini-projects to complete over a half term. Teachers will provide a structure to the pieces of work

expected/issued.
