Let’s Talk Recruiting

Just like you – We want as many of our player to have the opportunity to obtain a college degree (it would be awesome if that education was free or partially paid for due to football)

Below are CRITICAL points to remember

Freshmen should make GRADES their #1 priority

Camps are fine, but limit attendance during the Freshman year.

Learn the program, play hard and the rest will take care of

itself.

Freshmen are NOT NCAA eligible to be recruited by colleges or Universities

Focus on attending “TEAM” work outs. Extra workouts are fine, but establish a presence here First. We DO NOT recommend “I Dare You”

How To Keep Each Other Informed

Communication in any program is ESSENTIAL. The coaching staff has made a significant effort to ensure that the players, parents and the administration are INFORMED at all times.

Team Website – www.fc-tigers.com - The website is absolute single source for all team related information. Check the website frequently for updates.

Team Snap - This is a service for our players that will provide us the ability to send email and text reminders/alerts.

TD Booster Club Email Notifications - Our Booster Club will be corresponding with you for your commitment and support of various aspects of the Tiger Football Program

Upon missing all or part of a scheduled team function (including practice), provide coaches “WRITTEN” notification. Expected in advance. Only acceptable afterwards if truly unavoidable.

If you leave school due to illness, have parents contact coach that day.

Attendance Notification Policy

Nutrition and Hydration

Football is a demanding sport both mentally and physically. We are discussing nutrition and hydration with you because its EXTREMELY important during the season as well as the offseason. THERE ARE SOME KEY THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO BE MINDFUL OF !!

There are common mistakes that our players make pertaining to nutrition Skipping Breakfast Not drinking enough liquids Not eating at regular intervals Eating too much protein and short-changing carbohydrates

We make it easy for you and the players to know how to properly approach nutrition. Take a look at the nutrition guide on the forms page of the website

Kids burn a tremendous amount of calories during school and especially during workouts/practices

The lunch served at school is not adequate for athletes. They need extra food to supplement breakfast and lunch. Fruit to eat between breakfast and lunch. Food like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eat between lunch and practice.

Your Financial Commitment

Unfortunately, High School sports are not FREE. Our school systems are not funded well enough to cover the increasing costs of school sports. Therefore, our Player Fees are necessary to fund the critical needs of the team.

Every player is require to pay $500.00 per season . This is a MANDATORY fee.

All Rising 9th graders and players new to the program must pay 50% prior to Spring Practice. The remainder is due before Aug 7

The fee can be paid by check, cash, money order or online via pay pal on the website

Any obligations that have been received for not paying your player fees are now governed by strict rules put in place by the Athletic Director. Any player with a balance owed: Will not be able to play another sport Will not be able to attend the prom, participate in graduation activities, nor receive

transcripts required to apply to college.

There are several ways to help defray the cost of the player fees.
