Brothers, The next lodge meeting will take place on January 23, 2014 at 7:00pm at the Farm in Chestnut Hill. Thank you goes out to PC Alan Goldberg for arranging this. 2013 has now come to an end, and I want to wish all my brothers, a Happy and Healthy 2014. I want to say that once again, Welcome lodge has tried to fill last year’s calendar with activities that have raised money for Charities, as well as some extra funds for the lodge. As I close my term this coming spring, I do hope that we will add more of the same, as well as some new members to 2014-2015 This is the second time I have decided to distribute a list of lodge members and e-mail addresses. Please review, I would like to publish this list to all after we agree it is correct so everyone can communicate with each other. If you have not contacted me to confirm that your name is correct, or there is a mistake, please do so at your earliest convenience. If your name is not on this list, but you are getting this email as a past
member of the lodge, we will still print your information, with your consent, so you can stay in touch
with the other members as well.

By Law Changes The lodge has an appointed committee reviewing our current By-Laws. The goal is to update them into the 21
st
century. The committee is made up of Mark Zuroff, Alan Goldberg, and Michael Silverman. They should have
a preliminary out line at the next meeting on January 23rd
.
Where is our locker? It has been some time since the members of Welcome Lodge discovered that the locker located in the Grand
Lodge hall was violated. As of now, there is NO LOCKER to store our jewels, dinner ware, and other inventory
items. To make matters worse, the locker was open, and all contents were removed, without authorization from
Welcome Lodge. An inventory list was sent to the Grand Secretary quite some ago, with no response. Some
items that are not accounted for, was our Rathbone Bible, Officer Jewels, many ritualistic items, several bottles
of liquor, i.e. Johnny Walker Black, Jack Daniels, etc… If this issue is not resolved soon, the lodge is
considering taking appropriate actions. This unauthorized act has had a major impact, on our lodge, and its
ability to run meetings in the proper ritualistic format.
Winter Golf Drills Just so all golfers keep their swing in tack. The Editor will be publishing helpful hints, until the season starts
Welcome & Canton Lodge Golf Rematch.
On Wednesday November 6th
, there was a re-match of Welcome Lodge and Canton Lodge at Monster Golf in
Walpole. Representing Welcome Lodge was PC Paul Deletetsky. Paul alone defeated a Canton Lodges team without breaking a sweat. It was reminiscent of the old WWF handicap wrestling matches, (“Gorilla
Monsoon” matched up against “Sky Low Low”, and “Little Beaver”
Sunday Morning Trekkers
Every Sunday morning, there will be someone going for a nice hike in a local reserve.
The most popular location has been determined.
Ponkapoag Golf Course, which is part of the Blue Hill reservation.
It is very close to Rte 128, and is within 20 minutes from most members’ homes.

A group of Pythians has started up a networking group, that is meeting every other Thursday morning at the Grand lodge office. The cost to a Pythian is $35.00 annually, and $50.00 for non members. This is being run by PC Paul Deletetsky. So far there has been 3 meetings, and group keeps growing. Along with several Pyhtians, there are numerous othe professionals attending. If you are interested in growing your business, or know of someone looking to take part in a “Positive, Proactive, Progressive group, please come to one of our morning get togethers. Our next meeting is this Thursday January 16, 2014
