Welcome to worship! Here in Florida spring cleaning includes preparing for hurricane season. We know life has unplanned and unwanted storms. Allow God to prepare you this morning to weather those storms. Make new friends and deepen your relationship with God, so the anchor will hold in spite of the storms. Once again, welcome!

Let’s welcome the Ice Family!

Moving is a stressful and busy time and we want to help ease that stress for our new pastoral family. The Church is collecting

gift cards for the Ices to local

restaurants and stores (i.e. Olive Garden, Home Depot). We also thought it would be helpful to provide menus or flyers for takeout restaurants or local businesses that you use. You may drop donated gift cards in the offering plate or bring them to the office during regular office hours. We would ask that you bring menus and flyers to the office.

We are looking forward to the Ices joining our church

family and want to give them a warm welcome!

Revelation 20:12 (NIV)

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

Revelation 3:5 (NIV)

The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.

An invitation…

This summer, our Sunday school lessons focus on justice as presented in the New Testament. Justice is portrayed as a primary characteristic of God’s nature. God is just and merciful and Jesus Christ calls for justice and mercy. Human beings are called to imitate God’s justice toward one another. Apostle Paul teaches about these behav-iors and about new life in Christ. Our lessons, written by Randy Cross of South Dakota, challenge us to live into these topics and “as God’s choice, holy and loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and pa-tience” (Colossians 3:12) emulating divine justice toward others, including our enemies.

So please join us on Sunday mornings at 8:30am in room CE10 of the education building. Doug Doan and the Liv-ing Love class members look forward to seeing you.

Be A Mentor

Hudson Elementary School will be starting a mentoring program for girls in September. The program is intended to give the girls a special friend who will help build their charac-ter in their daily lives and at home.

Meetings will be Mondays, 3 to 4:30pm, September through May. Each month the prin-cipal will provide material that will focus on a particular theme, such as honesty.

For the program to be successful, they need female volunteers. Please consider volun-teering to be that special friend and mentor for a young girl at Hudson Elementary. Here’s how to volunteer:

1. Call the church office 727-868-6178 and leave your name, phone number and email address.

2. Fill out our church volunteer form (go online to our website www.hudsonfirstumc.org or pick one up at the office.)

3. Register with Pasco County Schools at Pasco.k12fl after July 5th. Look for the volunteer pull down screen and fill out the form. Choose Hudson Elementary School.

We will have a meeting in July to answer any questions or concerns about this program.

—Thank you! Loraine Cors, Education Chair

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy and Kristen Williams. Married Saturday, June 9, 2018. Kristen is a 4th gen-eration Sibley in this church family!

LIMITLESS is our updated youth group! This group is for 6th through 12th grade. Limitless provides youth with the opportunity to learn and discover Jesus in the world in which the youth live and play.

We want to develop our youth to see and help others through service as they begin to learn their role in this world. Each teen brings to the group a different per-spective of the world they live in, and by combining their different understandings, they will learn about ser-vice to all.

Some of the missions that the youth help with are:

Rummage Sale Card ministry to church members who are home-

bound or ill. Help with special events at the church Car washes

The only requirement to participate is to fill out a regis-tration form when your teen joins the group.

LIMITLESS meets:

SUNDAY evenings, 6pm to 8pm in the Fellowship Center— This special time begins with a light supper followed by a short devotion about Jesus. Then music, games, fellowship, and lots of fun!

Once a month we will do a special activity such as a movie or bowling. These activities will be free, howev-er, youth will need to sign up.

Call Bill LeFort for more information: 727-534-2395

WEDNESDAY evenings, 5pm to 7pm (summer hours) in the Church Office area. We will share a light supper and then we have a variety of summer activities planned. Come and see for yourself what they are!

Friends,

What an amazing send off you shared with us this past Sunday. From the beauty of worship to the scruptuous meal at our reception - you have truly blessed us. We are so grateful for the well-wishes, prayers, love offer-ing, and gifts. As we set sail for the next chapter in our life it is reassuring to know we have so many friends here. Once again, thank you and may our Lord contin-ue to bless you!

...Pastor Jerry and Lisa

Board of Trustees at Hudson First UMC,

On behalf of myself, my staff and all of our families who attended VPK Graduation in Howard Hall last Fri-day evening, I’d like to send a very sincere “Thank you.”

The facility was beautiful and had every amenity that we could possibly need for a family event. We had a wonderful fellowship with our families and it was so lovely to be able to have a place to celebrate together. Our little school is much too small to accommodate so many large families at one time.

This was such a kind donation of your member’s time and beautiful facilities and we appreciated it so very much!

Sincerely, Ms. Heather

Dear Church staff,

Thank you so much for the gift card. That will help me a lot. Thank you for the faith and love you share with me.

Love, Rosie June 28th at 10am in Room CE10, Doug Doan leads us in discussing “What Do I Do With My Feelings?” and “The Feeling No One Talks About.”
