Leona Evancik I am a 17 year old junior, and I’ve been attending Linfield for six years. I am on the varsity cheer team, and outside of school, I like hanging out with friends, traveling, design- ing fashion, watching Netflix, and volunteering. I especial- ly enjoy volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club and with S.M.A.R.T. (Single Moms are Resilient Together). My favorite Bible verse is Mathew 5:43-44 which says, “You have heard that it was said ‘love your neighbor and hate your enemy,’ but I tell you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” My role model is Keanu Reeves. Not only is he an amazing actor, but he is an incredible person who shows that even the most famous person can be humble and kind to others. Austin Sargent I am a 16 year old junior who has been going strong at Linfield since 6th grade. I love devoting my time to ASB, the chapel worship team, honor societies, and baseball. My passion outside of school is music. I love building and playing guitars, and I am currently a guitarist in a band. My favorite Bible verse is Colossians 3:16, which reads, “Let the message of God dwell richly among you as you teach and admonish one another.” Annika Vogt I am currently 16 years old and have attended Linfield for six years. I am on varsity cheer, and I run hurdles in track and field. I am also involved with ASB, honor societies, and student ambassadors. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and watching Netflix. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6 because it reminds me that God is always there for me no matter what I’m going through. My role model is my grandpa, John Boer. He shows me what it means to follow Christ and be a dedicated Christian. He also keeps me in check when I stress out because I can always rant to him. I love him so much! I want to thank my family and friends for helping me through tough times, for supporting me, and loving me. Thank you, guys, for always making me laugh. I love you all. Jacob Haddadin I am a 16 year old junior who has attended Linfield for three years. I play club soccer for Murrieta Surf and have also played varsity soccer with Linfield since my freshman year. I am ASB junior class president, a student ambassador, and a member of the honor societies. I love playing soccer and hanging out with my friends. My favorite verse is James 1:2-3. I like this verse because it talks about trials, and as a Christian, one faces many trials. My role model is my father because he continues to work so hard for our family. Hannah Barbieri I am a 15 year old sophomore who has attended Linfield for two years. I am a part of cross country, soccer, and track and field. I am also a member of the honor societies, and my hobbies include running, playing soccer, and hanging out with my incredible friends. My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 113:3. My role models are my parents because they have taught me to be gracious with all that I have, and they have shown me the true definition of love and generosity. Myles Mitchum I am a 15 year old sophomore, and this is my second year at Linfield. I enjoy participating in basketball, football, and track/field. My hobbies are playing basketball and baking. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 because I know God will give me strength for any sport, but I have to give Him the glory for the abilities I have been blessed with. My parents are my role models because they guide me in the right direction and because they continue to do good things in their lives. Daniella Thompson I am a 15 year old sophomore, and this is my second year at Linfield. I enjoy cheering at the football games as a member of the varsity cheer team and going on mission trips to Mexico. I am currently involved in the Canine Club, Cookies for Cancer, Tied with Love, and Young Athletes. I enjoy going to the beach, sleeping, and making cool videos. My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9. My role model is my mom because every day she reminds me how to be a patient and caring person. Jakory Brotemarkle-Cohen I am a 15 year old sophomore, and this is my 10th year at Linfield. I love competing on the track team and doing missionary work for my church. I also like to hang out with my friends, spend time with my family, and watch movies. My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 23:4. My role model is my mom because she helps me through everything- good and bad. She teaches me everything I need to know to be successful, and she provides for my every need. Jalee Nash I am a 14 year old freshman, and this is my tenth year at Linfield. I have been playing volley- ball for four years, and outside of school, I like to travel, be with family and friends, do outdoor activities, and babysit. My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 46:5, which says, “God is within her, she will not fall.” My role models are my parents because they have experienced many hardships, and they still honor, worship, and have faith in the Lord. Vanessa Perez I am a 14 year old freshman, and I’ve been attending Linfield for nine years. I have also been playing softball for eight years now, and I’m looking forward to playing ball in college like my sister, Alex. I enjoy spending time with friends and family and doing outdoor activities. One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalms 62:6 because it reminds me that Jesus is my salvation and that I can put my trust in Him. My role model is Sis Bates. She plays softball and is one of the best in the world. She is also a follower of Jesus. Christopher Allen I am a 15 year old freshman, and this is my first year at Linfield. I am passionate about athletics, mostly football and baseball. I also enjoy serving on mission trips where I can work and share my faith with others. My dad and I serve every year with Raceway Ministries at the Fontana NASCAR Race. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 27:17, which says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” I believe this and try to help my classmates whenever I can. My role model is my dad because he is a super godly man. He always supports me 100%. He is the reason I am here today. He is the strongest Christian I know, and I love him with all of my heart. Matthew Rezkalah I am a 15 year old freshman, and this is my first year at Linfield. I have only been at Linfield for a short time, but I have loved every second of being here. I am blessed to be playing basketball right now, and I am extremely excited for baseball season. I have been playing baseball since I was five years old and am dedicated to becoming a professional one day. My hobbies include all outdoor activities, hanging out with my amazing friends, laughing, and making other people laugh. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 118:14. My role model is my dad. He has been my biggest supporter and has pushed me to become a better athlete and an even a better person. This time last year I was praying to be accepted into Linfield and doing everything I possibly could to be a part of the community. I am so thankful to be a part of the Linfield family and proud to be a Lion. 2019 HOMECOMING COURTSENIORS

Kaelyn McCannI am an 18 year old senior, and this is my fourth year at Linfield. I am a member of CSF, NHS, and NEHS, and I have participated in sports medicine and on the worship team for the past three years. I am also a two time CIF champion pole vaulter. In my free time, I enjoy making films. My favorite verse is Philippians 3:14: “I press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of Jesus Christ.” My role model is my mom, Megan. She encourages me in my goals academically and spiritually. Thank you, mom, for teaching me how to be a boss, a mother, and a woman of Christ. To my dad, thank you for loving me unconditionally and for instilling a deep love for Angels’ baseball in me.

Adam CraigI am a 17 year old senior who has been attending Linfield since third grade. I am a captain on the soccer team and enjoy sprinting in track. I am also a member of the Robotics Club and the Key Club. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and girlfriend. My favorite verse is Ecclesi-astes 1:2 because it reminds me that all my issues are meaningless before the Lord and His plans for me. My role model is my mother because she has taught me that if you put your mind to anything, you can overcome it through hard work, determination, and diligence.

Devin SivertsonI am a 17 year old senior who has attended Linfield since 8th grade. I am this year’s ASB president and am also a part of the student ambassadors. I am committed to Concordia University to contin-ue my volleyball career. My favorite things to do are going to the beach and making memories with friends. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 118:24: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” It reminds me to rejoice in all good things and to live in the moment. My role models are my parents because they are so successful in whatever they do, and they have blessed me with an amazing life.

Michael HarkinsI am a 17 year old senior, and this is my second year at Linfield. I play rugby, baseball, football, and most importantly, ping pong. I hope to be a professional ping pong player or a hot shot firefighter. In my free time I like to draw, paint, surf, skate, snowboard, and play the drums and guitar. My favorite verse is Isaiah 54:17, which states, “No weapon forged against you shall prevail.” This reminds me that God is with me and that He protects me. My role model is my cousin, Ryan Johnson. Ryan has taught me to be dedicated to achieving success, and he has shown me how to be a better man.

Ashley PrillermanI am a 17 year old senior, and this is my 13th year at Linfield. I enjoy participating in as many things as possible, including sports med, ASB, soccer, track and field, and student ambassadors. My hobbies include annoying Trainer Knight at football practice, rock climbing, hiking and rollerblading. My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 17:7: “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” My role model is my mother because she constantly works hard and puts herself before others.

Jake MosherI am an 18 year old senior who has been at Linfield for five years. I have been active in the theatre program, and I am excited for my upcoming role of Jesus in Linfield’s production of Godspell. My passions are playing music, geeking out over the Bible, and going on adventures with my friends. My favorite verse is Romans 8:28: “In all things, God works for the good of those who love Him.” This verse gives me hope that nothing, not even myself, can ruin God’s plans. My role model is Mr. Hernandez because he exemplifies Christ in everything he does, particularly through his kindness, humility, and openness to interpretation.

Haley ManningI am a 17 year old senior and have attended Linfield since 5th grade. I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade. Over the summer I was blessed with the opportunity to go on the LA Missions Trip, and along with a group of friends, I founded Ignite Youth Group, a weekly Linfield Bible study. I enjoy going to the beach and surfing. My favorite Bible verse is Samuel 12:16 which says, “Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes!” Miss Angela Brown is my role model because her faith is inspiring to me, and I absolutely love her confidence in who God made her to be. She has been there for me, and I will be blessed if I am anything like her when I grow up.”

Nathan MarianoI am a 17 year old senior who has been at Linfield for five years. While at Linfield I have been involved in theatre, ASB, lacrosse, and Ignite Tribe, and I also serve as a Sunday School teacher. My hobbies are singing, playing guitar, and graphic design. My favorite verse reminds me who God is, how I am called to praise him, and how everything good is from God. Deuteronomy 10:21 states, “He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.” My role model is my dad because in everything he does, he does it for God and His glory.
