IEC 61850 is my topic …… and as a software developer in the Power Utility Communication fi eld, I work on exciting and trend-setting products. Through our developments we are able to o er e cient IEC 61850 testing tools for protection and SCADA engineers. One example is DANEO 400, which uniquely records and analyzes all conventional signals, as well as GOOSE and Sampled Values on the substation communication network.
