Coffee and Fellowship will be hosted this week by Mr. Frank Philpott, Mrs. Judith Philpott and Mrs. Margaret Wallace. Coffee and Fellowship is the way we gather following worship. Being a host for Coffee and Fellowship helps make this hap-pen and can be a simple as turning up, or as involved as preparing home-made snacks and refreshments to be served. It’s a one-time commitment or an ongoing involvement.Hosts are needed for this summer, July, August and September. If you would be available to help make our gatherings a success, please contact Siska Chen following today’s service or at [email protected] We’re looking forward to seeing you at Coffee and Fellowship! Thank you!

Music in Worship: Sunday, July 1, 2018

This morning, we celebrate our nation’s birthday by singing and playing Canadian compositions. Clarence Lucas (1866-1947, prelude) made his career primarily in England and France; Southern Ontario native Keith Bissell was a protégé of the great Healey Willan; Kola Owolabi (now Assistant Professor of Organ at the University of Michigan) was Assistant Organist here at St. Andrew and St. Paul from 1996-2000; and Montrealer William Reed (1859-1945, postlude) served churches here and in Quebec City.

Introit: Christ, whose glory fills the skies Keith Bissell (1912-1992) Christ, whose glory fills the skies, Christ, the true, the only Light, Sun of Righteousness, arise, Triumph o’er the shades of night; Dayspring from on high, be near; Day-star, in my heart appear.

Anthem: Weave for us a garmentKola Owolabi (b. 1977)Weave for us a garment of brightness; That we may walk fittingly where birds sing, That we may walk fittingly where grass is green. May the warp be the white light of morning,May the weft be the red light of evening,May the fringes be the falling rain,May the border be the standing rainbow.O our mother the earth, O our father the sky.

––Native American Prayer (Tewa Pueblo)

The Creche and Nursery will remain open for parents who would like to stay with their little ones while viewing the Service on a tv set up in the Creche. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a safe and enjoyable summer. -Sharon

We were blessed with picture perfect weather for the “Canadian Cancer Relay for Life” on Friday, June 15. Fifteen members of the A&P Youth Group Team were in fi ne form as they walked from 7:00Pm Friday thru to 7:00am Saturday morning, in memory and in honor of so many aff ected by this devastating disease. We would like to thank so many of you who so generously supported our team. We are just short of our projected goal with approximately 3 weeks left to raise additional funds. If you have not already donated to the group or

to a member of the Team, and would like to help out – you can do so online or contact Sharon at 514-755-0313.

Open Door: Just a friendly reminder that beginning June 27, the Church doors are open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, for vistis and tours upon request.
