FOOD BANK CHRISTMAS PARTIESOur church’s annual Food Bank Christmas Parties have started. This is a time of year when we invite the clients of the Thomas County Food Bank to come share some Christmas snacks, music and love from our church family. The parties will continue on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through December 20.

We need your help! Please consider volunteering an hour or two of your time to help man the party (we meet in the bus barn behind the Food Bank). Sign-up sheets are available on Sundays and Wednesdays. We also need donations of: Fresh Fruit New or gently read children’s books Snack Cakes Travel size toiletries Bottled Water Jewelry New children’s toys New stuffed animals

Please bring donations to the church office. Thanks so much in advance for your generosity and kindness.

ALL YOU PLANET 56ERS! We are going Christmas caroling today! Dress for the weather, meet at the church at 5:00pm and we will go out to dinner when we’re finished singing. Friends are always welcome! Please bring $5 to help pay for dinner--the church will cover the rest. See you at 5:00pm!

COURTESY PARKINGOn Sunday mornings the parking places in fron of the church are designated as courtesy parking. We provide these parking spaces for people with disabilities, the elderly, parents with mutiple young childrenmm and first-time guests.

ADVENT SCHEDULELessons and Carols - Sunday, December 23, @ 10:30amThis combined worship experience will be the highlight of the musical season! You will not want to miss this musical and historical telling of the Christmas Story, complete with Chancel Choir, Contemporary Praise Band, Adult Handbells, Children’s Ensembles, Youth, our organist Steven Turner, and a special string quartet.

Christmas Eve• 4:00pm “Make Room”: A Contemporary Family Service Complete with an interactive Children’s storybook, “Room for a Little One:

A Christmas Story” for our young congregants, this service will feature Contemporary Worship with familiar carols, and some newer songs fit for the Christmas season, concluding with the candlelit “Silent Night.”

**For those attending the 4:00pm service, who wish to take Communion, Communion will be offered in the Chapel at 5:00pm (immediately following the Contemporary Service). We invite you to take this time with your family, while the string quartet serenades with Carols.

• 6pm Traditional Christmas Eve Communion Service Our Chancel Choir and string quartet will lead us in moving reflection on

the coming of Jesus. We invite you to take Communion with your family during this service. We will also raise our candles to the sky to symbolize the light of Jesus coming to save the world.

YOUTH VISION TEAMThe youth program is looking to form a long-range planning team to help us continue to look towards the future. This team is open to anyone with a heart for our youth. We are planning to start meeting in January. If you are interested, please contact Jacob Hinckley ([email protected]).
