Over the past two years, Avrohom Meir Weiss and his wife Gital have been going through a difficult and trying
time. Lamentably, the Dodelsons have chosen to bring this story into the street.
It appears that over the past 6-7 months, the Dodelson family has been circulating a supposed "siruv" written
against Avrohom Meir as part of their slanderous campaign.
We are therefore compelled, in the spirit of n"!i2t Dn't;'r'l, to publicize, with supporting documentation, the truth:
that the so-called "siruv" was issued completely1"r) Nhll , and has no validity. We will limit our statements at
this time to the facts that surround this particular injustice. We hope that revealing the truth will stop the
spreading of lies.
The "siruv" was issued based on the notion that Avrohom Meir "took his wife to nlNf-ry" without a heter.
However, these are the facts:
Avrohom Meir's child was withheld from him in contravention of an explicit prior arrangement. This
episode was recorded, and there is even a letter from R' Malkiei Kotler - a first cousin to the
Dodelsons - admitting that this occurred.
After consulting with Morei Horaah and being issued a written nlNt'rg:n'r;?, Avrohom Meir went to
court to enforce his rights vis-h-vis his child, and sought joint legal custody. He had no choice but to
do so; in the State of New Jersey this is the only way for a parent to protect his legal rights vis-h-vis
his child. Reputable Batei Din fully recognize this as being true.
The Dodelsons filed numerous counterclaims. Ultimately, they also filed a completely new suit for
divorce. This new suit supplanted all previous tilings, and rendered Gital Dodelson the plaintiff and
the oniy one who could possibly withdraw the complaint; Avrohom Meir was (and still is) only a
defendant. Has anyone ever heard of a defendant being able to withdraw a complaint?
Long before Mechon L'Hoyroa issued their bogus "siruv," Avrohom Meir made clear to them in
writing, and with supporting documentation, that (a) he went to court with a heter, (b) that he was
no longer a plaintiff, and thus could not possibly withdraw the case from court; and (c) that he was
fully prepared to go to a Beis Din of zabla. He also provided them with the name of the Rav with
whom he had already signed a shtar borerus.
In fact, before Mechon L'hoyroa issued their "siruv,'o they wrote Avrohom Meir a letter,
attached herein, in which they themselves acknowledged that he was prepared to go before a Beis
Din of zabl.a, and. they requested only that he provide documentation that his wife was now the
Plaintiff in the ongoing court matter. They had already been provided with that documentati.on.
Avrohom Meir was therefore quite surprised by the baseless letter, purporting to be a "siruv," that he later
received.
Regrettably, the Dodelsons have shown this document to numerous Rabbanim, in order to persuade them to sign
a letter against Avrohom Meir. None of those who signed ever called either Avrohom Meir, anyone from
his family, or his Boreir to hear his side of the story. Furthermore, DESPITE THE OBFUSCATION, THE
ALLEGED 6'SIRUV'' HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH THE ISSUANCE OF A GET.
NO BEIS DIN HAS EVER RULED OR WRTTTEN THAT AVROHOM MEIR IS A]r9D, DESPITE
WHAT THE DODELSONS AND THEIR ALLIES AT YESHIVA UNIVERSITY AND ORA WOULD
HAVE YOU BELIEVE.
Right now, the court case fthat's right - the suit for divorce that is in n]N:'ty, brought there by Gital Dodelsonl
is in middle of a complex, prohibitively expensive trial that is draining our family of all our financial resources.
Indeed, it is our belief that this is exactly what the Dodelsons and their supporters are ffying to do; there is
nothing at all Avrohom Meir or his famiiy can do to stop these proceedings.
Sincerely,
Mishpachas Weiss
A BRIEF TIMELINE OF KEY EVENTS IN THIS CASE
March 12,2010 Avrohom Meir's son is withheld from him when he came, in accordance with a
previous affangement, to pick him up for Shabbos. This episode (including Mr.
Dodelson's threat of physicai violence, should Avrohom Meir attempt to take his
son) was captured on a recorder, transcribed by a court transcriber, and entered into
the court record.
March 15,2010 Aheterarkaos isissued(DocumentsAl & A2),andAvrohomMeirturnstothe
courts to protect his rights.
September 16,2010 Mechon L'Hoyroa issues a first hazmanah (two days before Yom Kippur) to
Avrohom Meir regarding taking his wife to arka'os (Document B).
September 22 /
October 20 2010 Avrohom Meir replies to the hazmanah (Documents Cl & C2).
November 4,2010 Mechon L' Hoyroa issues a third hazmanah (Document D).
November 7 ,2010 Avrohom Meir writes to Mechon L'Hoyroa confirming that he is prepared to go
before a Beis Din of zabla (Document E).
December 28,2010 The Doelsons' to'ein, Mr. Shmiel Fried, writes to Mechon L'Hoyroa that Avrohom
Meir has not chosen a boreir (Document F).
January 5,2011 R' Yehoshua Heshel Wolhendler confirms to Mechon L'Hoyroa that he has been
chosen by Avrohom Meir as his boreir (Document G).
January 6,2011 Mechon L'Hoyroa writes Avrohom Meir a letter of hasraas siruv (Doctment H).
January 10,2011 Avrohom Meir writes to Mechon L'Hoyroa reiterating that he has chosen a boreir
(Document I).
January I1,2011 The Dodelsons file suit for divorce, effectively supplanting any previous motions
and leaving Gital Dodelson as the sole plnintitf in any court action. (Documents
Jr &12).
February 21,2011 Mechon L'Hoyroa writes a letter (Document K) in which they confirm that
Avrohom Meir is prepared to go to a Beis Din of zabla, but demand that he
withdraw the case from the secular courts. This is simply impossible, as he is no
longer the plaintiff in the case; he is the defendant.
Aprtl4,2011 Mechon L'Hoyroa sends Avrohom Meir an email (Document L) asking for
documents supporting Avrohom Meirs's statement that Gital is the Plaintiff and that
he is the defendant; informati.on they already possessed.
May 2,20II Mechon L'Hoyroa advises that they are issuing a "siruv" against Avrohom Meir
(Document M).
May 5, 2011 Avrohom Meir responds to Mechon L'Hoyroa reiterating all the points made to
them previously (Documents Nl & N2). They faii to respond.

Lichvod HaRabbanim Shlita:
This letter confirms receipt of the hazmanah.I received it literally minutes before YomKippur began and have been unable to consult with anybody during the few busy days betweenYom Kippur and Succos, as everyone is busy preparing for Yom Tov. [I am sure that the BeisDin is closed for Yom Tov as well.] I will be in contact with you regarding this matter after YomTov, iy"H.
Thank you very much and have a wonderful Succos.
Sincerely,

Lichvod HaRabbanim, Shlita:
The court action undertaken by me was undertaken as per halachah, and after
consultation with Rabbanim, as a result of the abduction and withholding of my son by
the complainant and her family. The only issue I brought to secular court was proper
custody of my son, who had been abducted and withheld. Enclosed please find a relevant
Teshuvah.
There are, however, other issues that have been brought before the secular courts
by *y wife (e.g. child support etc.), something which she no doubt neglected to advise
the Beis Din about. If she would like to remove these issues from the secular courts, to
which they have been brought by her in defiance of halachah, she should select a Boreir
and advise me of her selection so that I may do the same and the issues can be judged in a
N"hT.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,

I am in receipt of your latest communication, wherein you declare that you are prepared
to issue u:rrlO :n: based upon two claims: (1) That I have refused to agtee to come
before a Beis Din; and (2)Thatl have been f i?nn in nlxf]t.
Both of these claims are patently and demonstrably untrue.
on November 7 of last year, I sent a letter to your Beis Din stating that I wasready to
have my wife's complaint regarding secular court judged in a x):t' A copy of this letter is
enclosed herein. yow Beis Din hasalready acknowledged this fact in letters to me- I
have provided you with names of two borerim; to date, my wife has neither
acknowledged my choice of borerim, nsr has she or any of her representatives
attempted tL contact either of them in any way. So the first claim of your letter is unfue'
with respect to your second claim, please be aware that the matter curently before the
secular clrrt is a lawsuit fi1ed by my wife. I an the defendant; she is the plaintiff. The
suit was brought by her. I enclose herein a copy of the title page and docket number of
her lawsuit. She isthe one being lrytnnin ntx:fy. So your second claim is also untrue.
Moreover, as she is the one being 1)vnnin nlNl'ly, I assume that you will now send
harassing letters to her instead of to me'
I am astonished at the fact that a supposedly honest Beis Din would send such letters to
me without even making a basic atlempt to ascertain the actual facts. It would seem that
the wealth and influence of my wife's family is more important to the Beis Din than the
truth. If this is the case, then obviously you will ignore this letter, just as youtrave
ignored all of the others. It is my hope, however, that you have some regard for nnx'
Unfortunately, the letters that I send to you only have the virfue of nnx -- something that
does not seem to count for much these days. I do not try to use wealth and pressure
tactics to defend myself or to be r1?1't innocent people- How much pressure has my wife's
family brought to bear upon you to get you to take such an astonishing position -- to
threaten to be f.roll a y:n: ttrat is wi[ing to go to x]:l? How hard has Fried pushed you to
be :rOn me on baseless claims? I do not employ people such as Fried, who seem to have
an undue emount of influence in "1r7" 'n: nowadays. I take note of the fact that whenever
I send a letter to your "'l''r" J'l't fulI of facfual information and cogent arguments, you
dutifully send me Fried's response, in which he simply says that my words are " n'n'li3Tt/
nrbilt,'i and then you do whatever he tells you to do! Of course, no one can be bothered
to actually respond to or refute whatever I have to say'
