Weishaupt WKmono 80:The next-generation monobloc burnerThe powerful output offered by thenew WKmono 80 burner would havecalled for a burner with a separatecombustion air fan, until now.

The monobloc design of the newburner means no air ductwork is needed, so installation costs are cosiderably reduced.

Powerful and compactThroughout the design stages of burnerdevelopment, particular emphasis wasplaced on a space-saving design. As aconsequence, the dual-fuel WKmono 80burner is very compact – just 1630 mmlong – despite its 17 MW rating.

The burner is also notable for the aero -dynamic, efficient, and noise-reducing design of its housing.

Clear, maintenance-friendly designDespite its compactness, all of the burner’s components – such as the mixing assembly, air dampers, and combustion manager – are arranged in awell-thought-out and readily accessiblemanner.

The standard-length mixing assemblycan be moved to a servicing position within the burner housing; it is not necessary to remove it.

The complete removal of longer mixingassemblies, with combustion heads up to1100 mm long, can be easily achieved bywithdrawing the assembly back throughthe burner housing.

Straightforward commissioningThe burner is commissioned using anoperator-friendly, menu-driven burnercommissioning program.

The integrated sight glass makes it easyto observe the flame and the burner’scombustion behaviour.

New yet well-provenThe mixing assembly and numerousother components originate from thetried-and-trusted WK burner range.

This provides many advantages to installers and operators in areas such asthe procurement and storage of spareparts, as well as in training and burnermaintenance.

Precise and reliable Modern combustion technologies demand a precise and continually reproducible dosing of fuel and combustion air. This is the only way optimal combustion figures can be ensured over extended periods.

Digital combustion management fromWeishaupt means optimal combustionfigures, continuously reproducible set-points, and ease of use.

Flexible communication optionsThe combustion manager’s integratedbus interface enables all necessary dataand functions to be relayed to a master control system.

If required, a modem can be installed toallow for remote operation, monitoring,and diagnosis of the burner.
