• BMI – a measure of weight based on comparing body weight to height

NUTRITION AND EXERCISE
• Staying at your ideal weight involves both good nutrition and adequate exercise
• The food you eat and the amount of exercise affects your weight
Figuring Out Calories
• Calories in food are converted to energy that your body can use
• Energy used to keep body warm and repair tissues
