Good Work Certificates
Teddy has had a busy time over the last 2 weeks. He has had a growth spurt whilst on his half term holiday and also lost one of his larger baby teeth!
He enjoyed walking round school today looking at the children’s funny wigs and hair as we raise money
for Children in Need. He even tried to join in himself!
The children continue to send lovely pictures and letters into Teddy, here are two he received this week.
Thank you children

Please see the attached flyer about our Local History Week where we will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Coventry Blitz.
We are asking all the children on Monday 11th November to wear World War Two outfits,
e.g. evacuees, officers, land girls.
Children in Year One and Year Two will be walking to St Giles church on Monday for a special Remembrance Service.
Harvest Assembly & Scarecrows!
Well done to everyone who brought a scarecrow in for our Scarecrow Festival in October. They were fabulous and the School looked
amazing with them all dotted around. The winners were 19, 60 & 34.
There is a prize at the School Office for the winners!
Please come and collect all your Scarecrows from school as soon
as possible.
Local History Week
Children in Need, Silly Hair & Wigs
The children and staff came into school with silly hair and wigs to raise money for Children in Need. The School Council organised the day and made a box to collect everyone’s donations. Please keep a look-out on our Schudio App for more photos and details of how much we raised.
Please return your photo consents as soon as possible, to ensure that your child can
have their school photo taken on: Thursday 14th November.
Without your specific consent, your child will not have a school photo taken.

Story Sacks, Family Learning
Sessions
Taking Care! In the Autumn term all our children take part in a
programme called ‘Taking Care’. This programme runs from Nursery to Year 2 and is specifically designed to teach young
children about keeping themselves safe.
The main principles of the programme are to teach your children:-
1.How to recognise their ‘Early Warning Signs’ (EWS) - signs that they are not feeling safe.
2.To know what these EWS mean, and that they need to tell a trusted adult when they have them.
3.To identify adults with whom they feel safe (this will also include someone in school).
4.The correct names for body parts - this ensures that there are no misunderstandings when a child
is sharing their EWS with a trusted adult.
Your child will come home with work covered during these
sessions; please take the time to discuss this with them and reinforce this very important message. If you have any
questions, please ask your child’s class teacher.
Diwali Dancing
To celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, we are holding a Diwali Dancing Day on
Friday 15th November.
Poppy Class, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children will be taking part.
Please return your letter and £3 contribution by Thursday 14th November.
Medication
Only medication that is prescribed more than 3 times daily can be administered by school.
The medication will need to be brought in daily, and a form completed on the first day.
School can only administer medication that has been prescribed by a GP. The
medication must have the official chemist label on it, with the child’s
name and instructions for administering the medicine.
