Meet the Team - Belinda I’Anson—Research Nurse

Why did you get into research?

I got into research because it was the first Nursing job offered to me when I arrived in London from New Zealand in 1996. It was in a phase I trials unit in central London and I loved the job. I have worked in research ever since.

What’s your favourite thing about working at the CTU?

The best thing about the CTU are the people, particularly the Nursing team.

What have you learnt about working on Principle?

PRINCIPLE has taught me Endurance and how to use three screens instead of two!

Shortness of Breath

It can be difficult to determine whether a potential participant has shortness of breath. You may find

this definition useful:

Shortness of breath can make it hard to breathe deeply and you may feel winded or as if you can’t

get enough air into your lungs.

Unlike many other conditions that can cause shortness of breath, symptoms can persist and

quickly escalate in people with COVID-19.
