Govt announces bonus for non-gazetted employees

In a festival gift to non-gazetted central government employees, the Centre on Wednesday announced a bonus of up to Rs 3,500 for 2009-10.All the central government employees in Group C and D and all gazetted employees in Group B who are not covered by any productivity linked bonus scheme will get bonus equivalent to 30 days emoluments.The payment will also be admissible to the Central Police and para-military personnel and personnel of armed forces.Industry experts say India's mid-level executives which were once attracted to the glamour of MNCs, are now preferring financially robust Indian firms.The premium associated with MNCs no longer exists.
