• Consequence of not having Jesus as Lord —Joshua 7, the story of Achan—messing with devoted things I. Voided the promise / covenant

II. Blocked the blessing passage way

• Dynamic between Lord & His subjects

• Devoted thing: A thing set on altar of deity and marked for destruction

CONNECTION BETWEEN LORDSHIP & LOVE

• He is LORD of YOUR life to the extent that you LOVE Him—not by YOUR definition of LOVE but by HIS

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:23 AMP Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 10

LORDSHIP & NEWBIRTH

• HOW DOES ONE GET BORN AGAIN?

• Rom 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Two prerequisites:

1. Acknowledge and confess Lordship

2. Heart (not head) Belief in the resurrection (understanding what resurrection is)

• Minus these two you WILL NOT be saved 15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 11

LORDSHIP & NEWBIRTH

What does it mean to be SAVED?

• STRONG’s: sozo

• sode'-zo

• to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): - heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 12

Page 13: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

THAYER DEFINITION: sozo

1) to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction 1a) one (from injury or peril)

1a1) to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health

1b1) to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue

1b) to save in the technical biblical sense 1b1) negatively

1b1a) to deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment

1b1b) to save from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 13

Page 14: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

LORDSHIP & NEWBIRTH

• Without the Two prerequisites, you cannot be so zo [kept safe and sound, rescued from danger or destruction in your education, marriage, career, life etc]:

• This is why “believers” who do not honour their confession thus voiding their covenant are not free from curses, diseases, challenges of unbelievers

• If HE is your LORD, what HE says, you MUST do—always

• INTEGRITY: You must be integrated (one) with your/God’s word (Homologia). Your actions must tally with your word for you to enjoy HIS blessing

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 14

Page 15: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING YOUR WORD

• Psa 15:4 AMP In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he who honors those who fear the Lord (who revere and worship Him); who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

WHICH CATEGORY OF PEOPLE DOES THE LORD HONOUR? (i.e. kabad kabe d: make weighty, boast in, glorify, make glorious, make(very) great, honourable (promote (to honour), be rich, etc.)

1. Those who fear THE LORD

2. Anyone who swears to his own hurt and does not change

• If you confess Him as Lord but live differently, what happens?

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 15

Page 16: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING YOUR WORD

• Mat 5:37 AMP Let your Yes be simply Yes, and your No be simply No; anything more than that comes from the evil one. [Lev. 19:12; Num. 30:2; Deut. 23:21.]

• How many times have we said one thing but our actions been another? That comes from the evil one—not GOD

• Num 30:2 AMP If a man vows a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break and profane his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

• Did you know you can WOUND/BORE your word(s)?

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 16

Page 17: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• Consequence/Meaning of Break/Profane your word

• cha lal pronounced khaw-lal‘

• properly to bore, to wound, to dissolve; figuratively to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one’s word), to begin (as if by an opening-wedge); defile, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.

• Go back to Num 30:2 ... Read again

• The only exception is verse 3-16. One Lord can be given permission to annul a vow of The Lord

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 17

Page 18: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• Oneness with your/God’s words takes you from level one to two in life. If you wound your word, how will it be strong to accomplish the purpose for which you sent it?

• If this leg is bored or wounded like a bore hole, can it run?

But what if I CHANGE my confession once in a while? Consequence is you’ll not be fully developed spiritually and you’ll lack things on earth

Jas 1:4-8 AMP

(4) But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

(5) If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly...

(6) Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.

(7) For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord,

(8) [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides]. 15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 20

Page 21: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• But what if I CHANGE my confession once in a while?

• Jas 4:8 AMP Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].

• Double mindedness or changing confession is sin. Its same as slaughtering sacrifice (words) and then taking the sacrifice back (Hebrews 13:15; )

• Heb 13:15 AMP Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. [Lev. 7:12; Isa. 57:19; Hos. 14:2.]

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 21

Page 22: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• What does it men to acknowledge and confess him as Lord?

• Rom 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

STRONG'S HEBREW &GREEK LEXICON: homologeo

WHO OWNS (LORD) HUMANITY?

• The Father gave it to the first Adam who as a result of not being one with GOD’s word surrendered it to the dragon

• The last Adam bought it back (redeemed) with His Blood

• He owns us!

• 1 Peter 1:3-8 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord (Owner) Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

• These again are the 2 prerequisites

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 24

Page 25: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• LORDSHIP requires that His opinion reigns and controls our actions

• 1 Kings 18:21 Elijah came near to all the people and said, "How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people did not answer him a word.

• Isaiah 29:13 Then the Lord said, "Because this people draw near with their words And honor Me with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote,

• NET Bible: The sovereign master says, "These people say they are loyal to me; they say wonderful things about me, but they are not really loyal to me. Their worship consists of nothing but man-made ritual.

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 25

Page 26: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• CALLING HIM LORD IS NOT ENOUGH! LIVING THAT LIFE STYLE IS WHAT COUNTS

• Mat 7:21-23 KJV

• (21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

• (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

• (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

15 November 2016 3RD DAY SEMINAR 26

Page 27: Week 21 Concept of the Kingdom LRF 021

• Mat 7:21-23 AMP

• (21) Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.

• (22) Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?

• (23) And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. [Ps. 6:8.]
