How has/will the opportunity of new learning shaped my practice?

Evaluated my performance in the classroom to ensure best practice and improved results for my students.

Questioned how I am delivering content to my students.

Allowed to students to deliver the content of their writing in a range of formats.

What is/will be my e5 evidence of my improved practice?

Explain – students using multiple representations to produce their work, with the guidance of the teacher. I will provide strategies to enable students to connect and organise new and existing knowledge.

Elaborate – to provide my students with challenging tasks.

Evaluation – ensure that my students are critiquing their own work. Providing my students with support to continuously refine and improve their work.

How has my thinking shifted as a result of the professional

reading?Digital natives – students that we teach todaywere born into a digital world and want to create and share information.

We are not preparing students for 21st Century learning – they are 21st Century learners.

Knowing when and how to use technology.

Focusing on one aspects of writing understanding how to incorporate digital technology into all areas of writing.

What is next?Revisiting our question….

Select students – tracking their progress in writing, using digital technology, using SPA, interviews, reflections etc.

Engaging my students – 21st Century learners.

Leading change in my school – educating staff on the benefits of incorporating digital technology into to classroom, not just in writing but permeating all curriculum areas.

Looking to the future- AusVELS:the impact it will have on the focus of ICT in education.
