Did you know that the Bilby is the Australian alternave to the Easter Bunny?

The Bilby is nave to Australia and lives in underground burrows. Sadly, it is a threatened species because of foxes, domesc dogs and cats.

Rabbits also pose a threat to bilbies because they eat the bilbies’ nave food.

means) with rubies and pearls? ★ You might be a dragon searching for your egg. ★ You might be an explorer searching for dragon eggs ★ You might be on a quest to find a dragon egg

Monday - Resilience Project

Gratude Gratitude is one of many positive emotions. It's about focusing on what's good in our lives and being thankful for the things we have.

Gratitude is pausing to notice and appreciate the things that we often take for granted, like having a place to live, food, clean water, friends, family, even computer access.

Being grateful has many benefits including; • The more grateful we are the happier we are • The more grateful we are the more energy we have • The more grateful you are the more likely you are to focus on positive things and • The more grateful you are the more likely you are to have empathy for others

What a Laugh! A kid from my neighbourhood found an antique treasure in a back alley behind the shops last week. It was dusty and dirty but he could tell it was valuable. He used his t-shirt to clean it, when KABOOSH, suddenly as he rubbed it, a huge exotic, purple genie with green silk pants appeared! In a gurgling voice it says, “What is your first wish?” The kid stops, absolutely stunned and finally stutters, “I wish I were rich!” The genie looked at him and a sly smile spread across his face and he replied, “It is done! What is your second wish, Rich?” Good jokes and good stories usually follow the same pattern. Plot the above joke on the story graph.

Jokes are usually TOLD orally not read. TELL this joke to someone in your family.

Find a good story joke on the internet for your family. Remember to consider your audience in their choice. Be respectful of others. https://jokes.boyslife.org/jokes/long-jokes/ https://www.buzzfeed.com/bensmith/clean-jokes-to-tell-your-kids-that-are-actually-funny Summarise and plot joke on a story graph.

Entertain your family by telling them this joke.

Wednesday - PE Why is it important to be active?

Well done Stage 2 with your fitness test. I am looking forward to seeing your results and if you are improving in some tests. Remember to keep doing these tests as it will help you to continue to keep active during this time at home. Challenge your parents/carers and siblings and keep track of their results too. I have some questions for you to answer and another little activity for you below.

Answer the following questions around the fitness test which you have been doing at home.

1. Which fitness test did you find the easiest and why?

2. Which fitness test did you find the hardest and why?

6. Why are all fitness tests important for us?

_______________________________________________________________________________

_______________________________________________________________________________

Challenge yourself: You are to design your own fitness test. When designing your fitness test, consider what you are actually testing. For example, if you did the wall ball toss test this was looking at hand-eye coordination, long jump was testing power, push ups for strength etc

I have listed the areas you could be testing below and choose which one you would like to do. Try your test out on yourself and others within your home to see if it works. Make sure you include the equipment you may need and how to do the test.

HANDWRITING A JOKE Copy this joke neatly on the lines using your neatest handwriting. “Oh, no!” the kangaroo groaned to her friend, the rabbit. “The forecast calls for rain.” “What’s the problem with that?” asked the rabbit. “We could use some rain.” “Sure,” the kangaroo said. “But that means my kids will have to play inside all day!”
