Change exists as a platform that facilitates continent

wide partnerships and dialogue  by Africans with

Africans. The AX-Change convenes quarterly in a year

The South African Schools Chorale Eisteddfod (SASCE) is

an all-inclusive mass-participation programme that is

implemented jointly by the Department of Basic

Education (DBE) and the Department of Arts and

Culture. The programme targets all the learners in the

25 000+ public schools in the Republic of South Africa.

The implementation of the programme starts to take

place at the district level. All the district winners then

compete at the circuit level, culminating into the

Provincial Championships in May – June 2015.

Both the South Africa’s National as well as the

AU Anthems form part of the musical

repertoire that has been prescribed for

2015/2016 SASCE championships. It has been

arranged that the schools that choose African

pieces will also compete with National Anthem
