Week 1 - Capstone
“The original meaning of “passion” is to suffer or endure, as in the Passion of Christ. Its modern
meanings have evolved to include love, attraction and pleasure. Finding our own element is also a journey
from endurance to enjoyment. It’s a vital step, too, in moving from being one type of person to being the
other type. “
– Sir Ken Robinson
Passion Changes Everything
• What is your passion?• How do you define it?• How do you figure it out?

Talent reflects how you're hard-wired. That's what sets the concept apart from that of
knowledge or skills. Talent dictates your moment-by-moment reactions to your environment --
there's an instinctiveness, an immediacy implied. Talent results in consistently recurring patterns of
thought or behavior. To deviate from those patterns requires conscious effort, and such
deviations are difficult to sustain.
Your Talent
• What is your talent?• What unique knowledge or
experiences do you have that set you apart from everyone else?
• How can collaboration with others improve your talent?

Any strategy for making lasting change in your life or in the world needs to include an economic engine. Period. In our lives, we want to develop routines and habits that not only support our loved ones, but reinforce our own resilience. In the world, we want our organizations to
not only positively impact our communities and planet, but also keep us in business. To make change that truly lasts, we need to kick-off cycles that are both virtuous
and sustainable. Without an economic engine, our efforts cannot be sustained, let alone scaled.
