Conclusions: This experiment was established in corn to compare the weed control of efficacy of four Group 15 herbicides (dimethenamid-p, pethoxamid, pyroxasulfone and s-metolachlor) applied PRE. The PRE herbicides were applied on May 9 with 41.6 mm of rainfall in the next 37 days which fell in 8 rain events. This influenced the weed control with the PRE herbicides. At 14 and 28 DAE, there was no commercially significant injury in corn from the Group 15 herbicides applied PRE. At 28 and 56 DAA, all four Group 15 herbicides provided poor control of velvetleaf, common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters, lady’s thumb, barnyard grass and green foxtail. There was no difference in corn yield among the Group 15 herbicides evaluated.

Conclusions: This experiment was established in corn to compare the weed control of efficacy of four Group 15 herbicides (dimethenamid-p, pethoxamid, pyroxasulfone and s-metolachlor) applied PRE. At 14 and 28 DAE, there was no corn injury from the Group 15 herbicides applied PRE. At 56 DAA, pyroxasulfone provided the best control of lamb’s-quarters, pethoxamid was the least efficacious on redroot pigweed and green foxtail, s-metolachlor was the least efficacious on lady’s thumb, and all four Group 15 herbicides provided equivalent control of wild buckwheat. Corn yield with the Group 15 herbicides evaluated was equivalent to the weed-free control.

Conclusions: This experiment was established to determine the effect of adding a biostimulant (Crop Booster 2.0 or AX15-10) to glyphosate applied POST following PRE herbicide in corn. At 7 and 28 DAB, there was no visible crop injury in corn from the herbicide treatments evaluated. At 56 DAB, s-metolachlor/atrazine (2880 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 92, 99, 99, 100 and 99% control of velvetleaf, common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters, lady’s thumb and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not affect the level of weed control. At 56 DAB, s-metolachlor/mesotrione/atrazine (2065 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 99, 100, 100, 100 and 99% control of velvetleaf, common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters, lady’s thumb and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not affect the level of weed control. At 56 DAB saflufenacil/dimethenamid-p (735 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 98, 100, 99, 100 and 99% control of velvetleaf, common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters, lady’s thumb and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not affect the level of weed control. At 56 DAB, isoxaflutole/cyprosulfamide + atrazine (210 + 1063 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 99, 100, 100, 100 and 99% control of velvetleaf, common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters, lady’s thumb and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not affect the level of weed control. There was no impact of the biostimulants evaluated on corn yield.

Conclusions: This experiment was established to determine the effect of adding a bio stimulant (Crop Booster 2.0 or AX15-10) to glyphosate applied POST following PRE herbicide in corn. At 7 and 28 DAB, there was no visible crop injury in corn from the herbicide treatments evaluated. At 56 DAB, s-metolachlor/atrazine (2880 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 100, 100, 100 and 99% control of lamb’s-quarters, wild mustard, common ragweed and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not appreciably affect the level of weed control (≤ 2%). At 56 DAB, s-metolachlor/mesotrione/atrazine (2065 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 100, 100, 100 and 97% control of lamb’s-quarters, wild mustard, common ragweed and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not affect the level of weed control. At 56 DAB saflufenacil/dimethenamid-p (735 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 100, 100, 100 and 97% control of lamb’s-quarters, wild mustard, common ragweed and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not appreciably affect the level of weed control (≤ 2%). At 56 DAB, isoxaflutole/cyprosulfamide + atrazine (210 + 1063 g/ha) applied PRE followed by glyphosate (900 g/ha) applied POST provided 100, 100, 100 and 99% control of lamb’s-quarters, wild mustard, common ragweed and green foxtail, respectively. The addition of either Crop Booster 2.0 or AX 15-10 did not affect the level of weed control. There was no impact of the biostimulants evaluated on corn yield.

Conclusions: This experiment was established to determine the efficacy of various Syngenta herbicides applied PRE and ePOST in corn. The PRE herbicides were applied on May 17 with 25.4 mm of rainfall in the next 29 days which fell in 4 rain events. This influenced the weed control with the PRE herbicides. The PRE and ePOST herbicides evaluated did not cause any visible injury in corn evaluated 14 and 50 days after the ePOST application. At 50 DAB, s-metolachlor/mesotrione/atrazine and s-metolachlor/mesotrione/bicyclopyrone applied PRE provided excellent control of velvetleaf and green pigweed and poor control of common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters and green foxtail. The control of common ragweed was improved with the PRE application of s-metolachlor/mesotrione/bicyclopyrone/atrazine. At 50 DAB, the tankmix of glyphosate plus s-metolachlor/mesotrione/atrazine, s-metolachlor/mesotrione/bicyclopyrone or s-metolachlor/mesotrione/bicyclopyrone/atrazine and the tankmixes of glyphosate/s-metolachlor/mesotrione plus atrazine and glyphosate/s-metolachlor/mesotrione plus bicyclopyrone applied ePOST all provided excellent full season control of velvetleaf, green pigweed, common ragweed, lamb’s-quarters and green foxtail. Corn yield was greater with the ePOST herbicide treatments evaluated.
