Redwood Cathedral—A small private, outdoor ceremony space perfect for exchanging vows. Surrounded by the natural cathedral of the redwoods.

Redwood Circle of Life—One of nature’s perfect creations, these natural hundred-year-old redwoods provide an enchanting circle for a dramatic vow exchange, proposal spot or any special event.

Ocean Meadow Lawn—This 7,000-square-foot expanse can comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests. With stunning views of Big Sur’s iconic redwoods and the sea below, it’s an awe-inspiring setting for any event.

Sur Vista—A beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean and coast, this natural setting is ideal for any ceremony.

Sky Terrace— A uniquely Ventana take on the “Chef’s Table,” offering bespoke meals with spectacular ocean, meadow and redwood views.

The Sur House Terrace & Bar—A large outdoor terrace at our signature restaurant, available for rehearsal dinners, receptions and even day-after brunches.

The Loft—Newly renovated, this rustic indoor space can accommodate up to 70 guests.

Executive Chef Paul Corsentino draws on his knowledge and skill gained in kitchens across the country to create inventive coastal cuisine, featuring Pacific-sourced seafood, free-range meats and homemade accoutrements. His diverse dishes are custom-catered for any and all aspects of your celebration—including the rehearsal dinner, reception, morning-after brunch and more.

The Sur HouseFor a truly incomparable event, The Sur House, our signature restaurant, can be reserved in its entirety. The expanded ocean-view terrace and windows all overlook Mother Nature’s own melting pot of Big Sur—on one side, the infinite ocean and rugged coast beckon; on the other are mountains, sprawling redwoods and wildlife.

This elegant, rustic setting, highlighted by natural wood interiors and furnishings, is every bit as awe-inspiring as the cuisine.

Our suites are an experience unto themselves, particularly well suited for couples celebrating their nuptials in Big Sur. Each is designed with luxury, space and seclusion in mind, with private decks and balconies, wood-burning fireplaces and many featuring private hot tubs.

Whichever you choose, you’ll be able to reflect, discover and relax, both before and after your big day.

The Alila Experience ProgramFor centuries, the stunning beauty and powerful geography of Big Sur have beckoned those seeking creative inspiration and inner well-being. Now, the Alila Experience Program extends a similar invitation to you, with workshops and activities to help you develop a deeper connection to your partner, yourself and the natural world.

Programs include a photography hike, culinary and wine adventures, a falconry experience and more. All workshops are focused on couples, but can be adapted to group and/or single participants.

POLICIES AND PRICINGWedding planners and day-of coordinatorsIn our experience, an effective support team is the best way to ensure a most memorable day. With that in mind, Ventana Big Sur requires an approved planner or day-of coordinator for all weddings.

Guestrooms and property buyoutsVentana Big Sur guestrooms are subject to availability, and restrictions may apply. Room blocks and group rates are available for five or more rooms.

If you wish to host your event at The Sur House, a buyout of Ventana’s 59 guestrooms and suites is required for a minimum of two nights. Ocean Meadow Lawn events require occupation of at least 11 guestrooms or suites for two nights or more. Minimum food and beverage requirements also apply. Please see table on next page or contact the Ventana team for assistance.

Adults-only policy for guestrooms, facilitiesWhile anyone under 18 is permitted to attend wedding functions at event sites, Ventana Big Sur is an adults-only property, and children may not stay or visit guestrooms or resort facilities.
