Built in 1818, this much-loved country house, the epitome of Georgian splendour, has been lovingly restored and includes a wealth of exquisite craftsmanship, including fine wood panelling and a grand, handmade staircase: the perfect marriage of old and new.

A sweeping driveway leads you up to the Hall through the ten acres of grounds. To the front are formal gardens beyond a sunny terrace, with classical stone features and wrought iron gateways giving rise to enchanting photo opportunities.

Beyond, discover pathways with wild flower planting and ancient trees, leading to the yew tree maze and a secret walled garden, with espaliered trees. There’s an abundance of beautiful backdrops for your wedding photographs – and some quiet corners to enjoy time alone with your newlywed.

Our grand, yet welcoming, reception rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies, each offering their own unique features and sense of occasion.

Choose from the spacious Kennedy Suite ballroom with crystal chandeliers and ornate Rococo mirrors; the oak-panelled Frank Henry Mason room; or the Flower Room with its neoclassical arched feature window, the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding. There’s also the George Runciman suite, ideal for winter weddings with its deep red colour scheme and classical pillars; or the characterful Library, boasting hand-carved book shelves and a decorative stained-glass ceiling rose.

Or head outside and marry on the terrace, framed by the ancient woodland and rolling countryside.

Ceremony Options

A resplendent ballroom which comfortably seats 200 guests for a reception also makes for a very fine dance floor.

With its own bar, cloakroom and doors which open onto a large outdoor terrace, it’s an elegantly stylish and versatile space for your special day.

The Kennedy Suite

In the heart of the Hall and named after the master craftsman who dedicated years to creating much of the striking woodwork within Doxford Hall, this magnificent suite with its imposing fireplace and sumptuous décor lends itself particularly well to ceremonies, celebratory banquets and grand dinners.

The George Runciman Room

Full of natural light, with dual aspect views over the gardens and exquisite period detailing, the Georgian Room is an inviting space for ceremonies for up to 80 guests.

The Georgian Room

An intimate and natural light-filled space for your wedding ceremony, with stunning feature windows and a beautiful staircase for your aisle entrance. The Flower Room is a great choice for a smaller, pared down ceremony.

The Flower Room

The Northumberland Room is as beautiful as the county after which it is named. Decorated in rich red tones, it has a statement chandelier, ornamental plasterwork and plenty of natural daylight. The option of a crackling open fire makes this a cosy choice for a winter gathering.

The Northumberland Room

The Frank Henry Mason room is a luxurious space for intimate ceremonies with your nearest and dearest or private celebratory dinners for up to 22 people. With views across the gardens through its large sash windows, oil paintings adorning the oak- panelled walls and chandeliers illuminating the intricate plasterwork ceiling, it makes for a grand setting for smaller gatherings.

Furnished with handsome leather armchairs and brimming with period charm, the Library offers fine views across the south-facing terrace and the fields beyond, making for a distinguished and unique location for intimate celebrations.
