Destiny Wet Weather Wedding Package With the beautiful scenery many couples choose the wonderful option of having their wedding ceremony outdoors but with that comes the worry of inclement weather. With the Destiny Wedding Package we take the worry away. When booking this package you not only reserves our beautiful gardens, you also reserve the Old Cheese Factory Chapel as an inclement weather backup. Perfection Wedding & Reception Package Two Perfect Locations, One Simple Choice. The Perfection Package not only gives you the perfect garden setting for your wedding ceremony but the perfect location for your reception. The Old Cheese Factory, where each wedding reception is as unique as the bride and groom. Set among the gardens are a range of buildings suitable to accommodate intimate receptions for up to 120 people. Chairs • Wilson Botanic Park has white plastic chairs available for hire during ceremonies; a maximum of 40 chairs can be arranged. Our staff set them up; your guests sit back and enjoy your ceremony. Cost $5.00 per chair

Additional Car Permit • A second car permit is available to assist elderly or disabled guests, and can also be used for larger bridal parties. Cost $114

Security Deposit • A security deposit is required for all wedding bookings. Cost $350

Terms and Conditions

1. APPLICATION Bookings will be received after receipt of full payment, security bond and completed registration form.

A $100.00 cancellation fee applies to all bookings due to administration costs.

All hiring fees are inclusive of a 10% GST. GST does not apply to security bonds.

Confirmation of your booking will be received in the form of a letter once your application has been approved.

Applications can be lodged at Wilson Botanic Park Berwick in person, via email to wbp@casey.vic.gov.au or post, Wilson Botanic Park Berwick PO Box 1000, Narre Warren VIC 3805.

Amendments to the application must be made in writing.

2. SECURITY BOND If any damage to the gardens or rubbish is left on site, we reserve the right to deduct from the security bond up to $350 for damages/clean-up fees.

Security Bond return will be in the form of a cheque from the City of Casey and will be forwarded to the hirer, at the address nominated on the application form, within a six (6) week period from the conclusion of the booking.

It is required that the organiser / client conduct the function in an orderly manner in full compliance with the Wilson Botanic Park regulations and all statutory requirements. Please refer to the link at www.wilsonbotanicpark.com.au for more information. 3. INCLEMENT WEATHER We have a wet weather backup option available at The Old Cheese Factory Chapel. Please speak to park staff for more information.

The use of the Visitor Centre is not permitted as a wet weather option.

4. TIME LIMITATIONS Bookings are for the time specified on the confirmation letter. 5. PARK STAFF As part of the site hire agreement hirers and participants must comply with reasonable directions of Park staff.

6. GUIDELINES FOR USE A table and two chairs, for the signing of the marriage documents, will be placed in the booked location prior to the wedding ceremony by park staff.

Up to 40 white plastic chairs are available for hire; these will be set up in the booked location prior to the wedding ceremony by park staff.

Bubble blowing and rose petals are permitted. The throwing of confetti or rice is prohibited.

Clients and their guests are not permitted onto the garden beds, handle plants or to climb trees. Clients are financially responsible for any damage to plants and turf areas.

Structures including shade structures, umbrellas and marquees are not to be erected.

Clients are responsible for the removal of all rubbish and decorations associated with their function.

Battery operated PA systems and CD/cassette players are permitted.

No black-based carpets to be used as aisles in the Wilson Botanic Park as they burn the grass.

7. VEHICLE ACCESS

Vehicle entry is only allowed for the bridal party. Elderly & disabled guests can only be driven into the park using the second car permit of $114. A wheelchair is available upon request.

All vehicles must be escorted by a Park Officer when in Wilson Botanic Park Berwick.

Use of the bollards is at the risk of the hirer.

Cars must stay on paths. Stretch limousines over 9 meters are not permitted in Wilson Botanic Park.

Horse drawn carriages are permitted. Please speak to park staff for more information. 8. ALCOHOL Council’s Local Laws do not allow the consumption of alcohol in public places.

9. INDEMNITY AND INSURANCE 9.1. THEFT, LOSS AND DAMAGE

Any loss of or damage to equipment (including, but not limited to, decorations and personal belongings) are the responsibility of the hirer and/or hirer’s agents and guests. The City of Casey nor its staff shall be liable for theft, loss or damage sustained by the hirer or any person, firm or corporation entrusting to or supplying any equipment, item or service to the hirer, by reason of any such equipment, item or service being damaged, lost or stolen.

9.2. INDEMNITY CLAUSE

The hirer agrees to indemnify and to keep indemnified, the City of Casey Council, its servants and agents, and each of them from and against all actions, costs, claims, charges, expenses, penalties, demands and damages whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against them, or any of them, in connection with the hirer/s performance or purported performance of its obligations under this agreement and be directly related to the negligent acts, errors or omission of the hirer/s.

The hirer/s liability to indemnify the City of Casey Council shall be reduced proportionally to the extent that any act or omission of the City of Casey, its servants or agents, contributed to the loss or liability.

9.3. INSURANCE

A premium of $30.00 has been included in all hiring fees to cover the hirer for public liability insurance which will cover the hirer against damages and injuries to their guests and other users of the park if they are proven negligent. A copy of the certificate of currency is available from the City of Casey upon request (contact 03 9707 5818).

10. DISPUTES In the event of any dispute or difference arising as to the interpretation of these conditions, or of any matter contained therein the decision of the City of Casey’s Chief Executive Officer or his nominated representative thereon shall be final and conclusive.
