At The Bulkeley Hotel we are proud to hold a licence which permits the

solemnisation of marriage and civil partnership ceremonies in The

Bulkeley Ballroom. This enables us to provide a complete wedding

service which is tailor-made to your personal requirements in a single

venue, allowing you the ultimate freedom to relax and enjoy your

special day.

Our wedding co-ordinator would be delighted to offer you any

assistance you require in terms of venue dressing requirements such as

floral arrangements or chair covers, whilst also offering you expert

advice on choosing a musical accompaniment to your ceremony such

as a harpist, string quartet or our resident pianist to create the perfect

ambience. A red carpet is also offered to you complimentary by The

Bulkeley Hotel.

The Bulkeley Ballroom

The beautiful Bulkeley Ballroom offers the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast or ceremony

for up to 100 guests.

This stylish suite offers high ornate ceilings, art deco lighting and a large bay window with

panoramic views over the Menai Strait onto the Snowdonia Mountain Range. The elegant Georgian

ballroom is flooded with natural sunlight. This suite boasts air conditioning, its own dance floor

and private bar, providing exclusivity for your wedding party.

Your Wedding Reception

Both of our wedding suites are able to accommodate guests on a choice of either round tables or

banquet-style, although if round tables are selected the number of guests which each room can

accommodate is reduced. Our wedding co-ordinator can offer you excellent advice on a suitable

table layout for your personal requirements.

The Bulkeley’s philosophy is to provide elegant surroundings and fine-food, coupled with high

levels of service at an affordable price. We offer one of our wedding suites complimentary when

booked as part of a wedding package incorporating a seated wedding breakfast. Please note that

a minimum of 40 guests is required for receptions in The Bulkeley Ballroom.

Your Wedding Evening and Entertainment

The Bulkeley Hotel limits evening guests to a maximum of 100 people.

Please note we do not allow groups and bands.

Accommodation

The Bulkeley Hotel offers 43 rooms and suites, all of which offer en-

suite facilities and modern amenities. Many of these offer outstanding

panoramic views of Menai Strait and Snowdonia Mountains and some

are romantically furnished with four-poster beds. All of these rooms

and suites are available to accommodate your wedding party, subject

to availability at the time of booking, and in order for you to extend

your wedding celebrations amongst family and friends, we offer

preferred tariffs to your wedding guests.

The bridal suite has been recently refurbished to reflect the romance

and elegance of the Georgian era, and is furnished with opulent

fabrics, a sleigh or four-poster bed, romantic chandelier and with a

roll-top bath in the bathroom. This sumptuous suite is furnished with

elegance and comfort in mind to create a relaxing ambience in which

to commence your honeymoon. We would like to offer this suite to the

bride and groom complimentary on the night of your wedding together

with a full Welsh breakfast.

Prices quoted include a Full Welsh Breakfast, based on two guests

sharing a double or twin room per night.

Check in is available from 3pm and we request that guests please

vacate their rooms by 11am on the day of departure.

A room hire charge will apply to all weddings with less than 50 guests

for the wedding breakfast.

A room hire of £1000.00 is chargeable on all weddings in the months

of April to October.

with the added advantage of an amazing 5% reduction on the overall

cost of your wedding breakfast menu. This package offers superb value

for money and is only available on select dates and is subject to

availability.

requested 6 weeks prior to your special day. We recommend that you offer each

guest an average of 2 glasses of wine during their meal, which equates generally

champagne are usually obtained from each bottle and hence one bottle is

required per 6 guests.

Terms & Conditions Deposits & Payments

To secure your wedding booking a non-refundable deposit is required within 14 days of the provisional booking

being made. Bookings will be treated as provisional until a signed contract together with the required deposit

is received by The Bulkeley. In the event of the 14 day period being exceeded, The Bulkeley Hotel reserves the

right to cancel the function and will subsequently inform the client by telephone and in writing of these actions.

In the unfortunate circumstances of you having to cancel or postpone your confirmed booking, this deposit is

non-refundable, regardless of circumstances. In the unlikely event of cancellation, the following charges with

apply:

10 weeks notice: 25% of the anticipated final cost will become payable

8 weeks notice; 50% of the anticipated final cost will become payable

4 Weeks 75% of the anticipated final cost will become payable

2 weeks Full payment is required

The balance of the account is payable the morning after the event. All prices quoted are currant and inclusive

of VAT. Whilst we endeavour to fix prices at the current rate, if market prices change then the management

reserves the right to adjust prices where necessary.

Menus

Menu choice will be served to all guests and regretfully we do not offer different options for different guests.

Seasonal vegetables are available with all menu choices although the choice of these is at the chef’s discretion.

Specific requests will be considered although in some cases where seasonal market pricing is substantially

higher for alternative choices, a small charge may be made. A charge of the minimum menu price will apply

for each guest, of a four-course meal consisting of a starter, soup, main course and dessert for a wedding

breakfast. We are delighted to cater for your evening reception provided you have your wedding breakfast at

the hotel and evening buffet numbers will be catered for at the full number of guests.

Final numbers, menu requirements and timings must be given to The Bulkeley Hotel 14 days prior to the event.

The amount payable by the client will be calculated based on this final number, or the number which actually

attend, whichever is the greater. Your wedding co-ordinator will contact you at this time to make an

appointment to discuss these final details. Children under 2 may have a small portion of the adult menu

complimentary, unless they request a special menu. A corkage facility for wine and champagne is not available.

Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the hotel prior

to the event of any guests special dietary requirements or food allergies or intolerances and The Bulkeley Hotel

will attempt to cater for such requirements where possible.

Function Room

Your ceremony/ reception room is available from 10am on the day of your wedding for any floral decorations

or venue dressing requirements. White table linen and napkins are provided by The Bulkeley Hotel as part of

your wedding package, although if specific coloured linen requirements are requested by the client or the

package is supplemented with other venue dressing requirements such as chair covers and subsequently

sourced from an external suppliers, The Bulkeley Hotel will not be responsible for invoicing or for any damage

caused to such items, caused by the wedding party.

Terms & Conditions Accommodation

Favourable accommodation rates for your guests are offered (subject to availability). Guest’s

accommodation will only be secured upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit within 14 days of the

reservation being made. Accommodation will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival and we respectfully

request that rooms are vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Where guests are required to travel long

distances, or where you require an early wedding, we recommend that guests extend their stay to that of a

two night stay. Where late check-out is required, permission must be obtained from the hotel’s general

manager, otherwise a full additional nights’ accommodation may be charged. Permission will only be

granted in exceptional circumstances without charge, and this is at the manager’s discretion.

Licensing

The bar is licensed to be open from arrival, for the duration of the day until last orders being taken at

11.30pm. The bar will close at 11.45pm and the entertainment may continue until 12.00 midnight. These

times are also applicable to Sundays. Please Note we do not allow Groups and Bands and evening guests

are limited to 120.

Tariffs

Once a deposit is paid this will hold the date booked and secure the prices in this wedding pack. Please

retain this pack for the price of menus and drinks packages agreed. The tariffs in this wedding brochure are

applicable until October 2015 after which time a price increase may apply. Any bookings made prior to this

date for weddings after this date will be charged at the rates stated in this brochure. Deposits are non-

refundable under any circumstances. The Bulkeley Hotel can not guarantee that bar prices will be the same

at the time of the event as those at the time of booking, due to market increases.

Damages

The client is responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their guests, agents or employees and shall

pay The Bulkeley Hotel the necessary amount to repair such damages. Any damages incurred during your

wedding will be charged to your wedding account. You are responsible for the actions of your guests. Please

note the hotel operates a no smoking policy throughout. Any bill incurred by any member of your wedding

party whereby that member has failed to settle their account in full, may be transferred to your account. Such

bills include additional food or beverages consumed, additional bedroom cleaning costs incurred due to

smoking or sickness and any additional cleaning costs incurred. By signing this contract you agree to these

terms. Any member of your wedding party that are on ‘pub watch’ will not be permitted to attend the wedding

as the hotel has a pub watch scheme in place which we abide by.

Insurance

The Bulkeley Hotel does not insure any items brought into the hotel premises by the client or their guests,

external suppliers, employees etc. we advise that adequate insurance cover be arranged prior to your visits,

as the hotel will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to the clients property, including

Wedding Gifts brought into the hotel.
