The Wedding Gazebo is a very attractive option with the ability to accommodate up to 60 people. The Gazebo can be beautifully decorated with organza and petal arrangements.• Religious ceremonies are not legally valid, this is a symbolic ceremony.• For religious or non-denominational ceremonies, it is not necessary to

complete all legal requirements.• For Catholic ceremonies, couple must visit their Pastor or Parish Priest

and complete the required paperwork. The couple must complete the pre-marital courses in their country and provide a letter (Nihil Obstat) from their Curia.

• Guests may bring their own minister, for non-legal ceremonies. Judge must perform legal ceremonies.

• If you would like to incorporate a reading, poem, song or prayer, inform the Wedding Coordinator accordingly.

• For the ceremony the sound system is included in the package. Guest may also provide their own music.

• Times are subject to availability. On average, Dreams Palm Beach performs two or three weddings a day.

• The weather forecast will be reviewed 4 hours prior all outside wedding ceremonies in order to move the location if its necessary.

Dinner PoliciesThere are various locations, air-conditioned indoor or outdoor, throughout the resort to celebrate the wedding dinner depending upon the preference of the couple.The Dreams of Love and Dreams Ultimate Packages (20 guests staying at the hotel) include the Silver Menu at the Ballroom. Beach and pool areas require buffet style.

Beach and outdoor receptions are available. Round tables are set up that are able to accommodate up to 10 people per table. A beach buffet service will be provided for weddings groups of 25 or more people. In case of inclement weather, the Ballroom is available depending on the size of the group.The Pool island has a location fee of USD$250 and it needs to be booked in advanced with the wedding coordinator. The Pool area has a maximum capacity of 80 people.

The Ballroom at Dreams Palm Beach provides a truly elegant venue for larger groups. Music is allowed in the Ballroom.

Please note: Reception venues are available for 3 hours with restrictions on volume of music.

Restaurants

• Private dinners are available in the Ballroom (indoor) or on the Beach (outdoor) or by the Pool or the Pool Island.

• Dinners at any of the restaurants are available for weddings groups smaller than 15 people. There will be a preset menu, selected from the restaurants regular menu by the couple. The restaurant will be confirmed upon arrival and hotel availability.

• Dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m. and only tables of the restaurants will be reserved. (Special set up is not guarantee)

• Music and dancing are not allowed at any of the restaurants.• Hitmitsu restaurant is not available for weddings groups.• The world Café is the only restaurant able to accommodate a group

larger than 25 people without an additional cost. The world cafes meal will be served buffet‐style.

• All events are including in the Dreams of Love and Dreams Ultimate Wedding Packages (for 20 guests staying in the hotel).

• All events in the Ballrooms, Beach, by the Pool or the Pool Island are included for 3 hours. The time limit is 10:30 p.m. after this time, an additional charge per hour per person will apply until 12:00 a.m. Reception at outdoor areas cannot be extended.

• Music in outdoor areas has a restriction of the volume due to rooms around the areas.

Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana highly recommends that all additional decorations and/or favors be brought with the couple on the plane. If it is necessary to ship boxes prior to the couples arrival, we suggest using either FEDEX or UPS and shipping everything a month and a half in advance to ensure all boxes clear customs.

• Please be advised that food, animals, insects or natural flowers are not permitted to enter the Dominican Republic.

• Label all boxes with your name and clearly specify the date you will be arriving. Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana will deliver gifts to the guest’s rooms. There will be a $4.00 USD and 18% service fee per room (taxes included). A complete list of all guests along with room numbers are required.Once the boxes have been shipped, please send an e-mail to the wedding coordinator with the following information to allow us to track the packages:

Couples are welcome to bring their own decorations. Please note that depending on the type of service and amount of decor for the set-up, a decor fee will be applied (between $50-$500).

Shipping Procedures

Deposit PolicyA $100 – $500 (dependant on the type of package) deposit is required to confirm and hold the requested wedding date. This deposit can then be applied toward ceremony and/or reception upgrades which have been purchased in addition to the wedding package. If the wedding couple chooses not to purchase additional ceremony and/or reception amenities, the credit can then be applied toward any room charges upon check out, including but not limited to phone charges, spa treatments and logo shop purchases. Any remaining credit balance will be refunded in the form of the original payment.

Cancellation PolicyThe wedding can be canceled six or more months prior to the confirmed date without penalties. If the wedding is canceled within six months, the non-refundable deposit will be kept as a penalty.

The property does not assume responsibility for any items, personal or professional, brought onto the resort prior to, during or after the wedding event. The following are all the documentation required by Dominican Law in order to be legally married in the Dominican Republic.

Civil Wedding

• Birth Certificate of Bride and Groom. If parents’ names are not shown on the certificates, please indicate them separately.

• Notarized Declaration of Single status for the Bride and Groom. If previously married, submit two copies of the Divorce Decree or Death Certificate. There is a mandatory waiting period for women, 10 months before they are legally allowed to remarry.

• A photocopy of Bride and Groom’s Passport (or documents used to enter the DR).

• Photocopies of all Witnesses Passports. Cannot be family members. If necessary, resort will provide witnesses.

• Bride & Groom must be in the country 3 business days prior to the wedding. Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the wedding coordinator to discuss requirements.

All documents must be translated and legalized by the Dominican Consulate prior to arriving in the Dominican Republic, except for the Passports.

The documents should be legalized by the Dominican Consulate no more than 3 months prior to the wedding date. It is the couple’s responsibility to have all the documentation ready prior to the wedding. The Judge is an outside service provided by the Dominican Government. We cannot be held responsible for any delay or alteration. The Judge will duly register your Wedding Certificate at the Local Civil Board. We will then send the Wedding Certificate to the couple via mail which may take up to 8–12 weeks.

The Civil Wedding is celebrated in Spanish (official language of the country). If desired, Dreams Palm Beach will provide English, French or German translators. French and German translations require an additional charge.

***Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana reserves the right not to perform the the wedding if the legal documents are incorrect and not accepted by the judge due to the couple failing to supply the required documents or meet legal requirements in the requested time frame.

Sample Single Status Declaration:

“I, (your name here) declare that I am single, never been married and never applied for a Marriage License in the state of (state where you reside) or any other state in the United States of America. My fiancée and I will be married in the Dominican Republic on (date or approximated date of the wedding)”. SIGNED AND NOTARIZED

If you have been married before, it must read “… single, divorced, my divorce was final on (date of your divorce) and i have not applied again for a marriage license in …, my court case no. was ( ), performed by judge (judge’s name), in the court of (county & state).
