variety of dining options to choose from. The

Cultivar Restaurant offers buffet breakfast,

light lunches and seasonal buffet dinners.

Die Wingerd Restaurant provides our guests

the wedding day.

For those who are more active and a bit more energetic we have a beach volley ball court, half Olympic size swimming pool and a fitness centre

off-site within 500 m walking distance from the hotel. The strained and worn-out guest are able to enjoy a treatment at the on-site beauty clinic

varying from facials to full body massages.Are you confident enough that your swing is on par, test your handicap on either the Stellenbosch

Golf Course or De Zalze Golf Course, both in less than 2km distance from the hotel.

WEDDING PACK AGES ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGES TO CAPTURE YOUR MEMORABLE DAY OF PERFECTION

WEDDING CEREMONYWe offer facilities for both an outdoor and indoor ceremony. Our

‘gazebo’ next to the lake is ideal for the perfect summer garden

wedding. Please be advised that all equipment (including a marquee

tent, Bedouin tent and umbrellas) has to be hired in and would be

for your own account. Our ceremony venue rate includes chairs

with white covers and the red carpet.

WEDDING RECEPTIONThe wedding reception package includes a one-night complimentary

Bed and Breakfast for the bridal couple on the night of the wedding,

your choice of a 3 course set menu or a buffet, white linen, tables

and chairs, white chair covers, cutlery and crockery, glassware,

one welcome drink per person, one PA system to be used either

at the ceremony or reception, venue hire with a dance floor and a

personalized wedding gift for the bridal couple. A 10% staff gratuity

is also included.

BREAKFAST WEDDING PACKAGEThe package price includes everything mentioned above except a

dance floor and with the set menu being replaced by a breakfast

menu.

VENUE HIREThe wedding ceremony and reception venue will be available from

12h00 until 23h30 on the wedding day. Should you require the venue

after 24h00 (pre-arranged and subject to availability), a venue hire

fee of R1500.00 per hour, or any part thereof will apply. Should you

require the venue the day before the wedding, a R7000. 00 venue

hire will be charged, allowing it to be available from 17h00 the

evening before.

SET-UPBanquet round tables seat a minimum of 8 guests and a maximum of

10. As mentioned previously, white linen, chair covers, cutlery and

crockery is included in the package price, but you are more than

welcome to supply your own linen, napkins, overlays and or runners.

MENUSIncluded is our “Design your own buffet” menu from which your

selections can be made, as well as our set menu options. Should your

guests have special dietary requirements, we will gladly cater for

them. Halaal and Kosher meals will be ordered from our preferred

suppliers at a surcharge.

WELCOME DRINKSYou have a choice of sparkling wine, orange juice or sherry. One

drink per person is included in the wedding package.

BAR SERVICEWe can cater for your bar service on any one of the following

arrangements: Cash bar-All drinks to be settled on a cash basis

Open bar-The full account to be charged to the main account

Limited bar-The full account to be charged to the main account, with

a limit confirmed with the hotel prior to the function

arrangements three weeks before the wedding date. GUEST numbers,

appointment.

READING THE F INE PR INT.THE NITTY GRITTY OF OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

All invoices shall be due and payable upon presentation. Queries in respect of specific invoices shall not affect immediate payment of any other outstanding amounts. Any amount payable by the client to the Hotel in terms of this agreement and not paid on due date, shall accrue interest at 2% (two percent) above the prime bank overdraft rate as advised by the Hotel’s Bankers. The Hotel reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any damage to, or destruction of the allocated rooms by fire, vis major act of God, any shortage of labour or food supplies, strikes, lockouts, and industrial unrest, or any other causes beyond the control of the Hotel which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with any booking. In these circumstances, every effort will be made to accommodate the booking at another Protea Hospitality Group establishment. The Hotel reserves the right to change the name and location of the clients previously designated function room upon having given reasonable notice to do so. The provision of standard operating apparel and/or equipment for, e.g., linen used by the Hotel shall be dependent on availability at no extra charge. Neither the Hotel nor its agents or employees shall be liable for any damages or loss which may be caused to any of the goods of the client, its employees or invitees brought into the premises for whatever reason, not to any injury or loss of life to the client or its employees or invitees howsoever caused. The client further indemnifies and holds harmless the Hotel against any claim that may be made against the Hotel by any third party relating to the provisions of the clause.

The client shall be responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment therein, by any act or omission of the client or GUESTS/employee of the client. The client shall not be entitled to: paint, affix or attach to the function room provided any advertising signs, notices or other matter without the prior written consent of the Hotel which shall not be unreasonably withheld; drive into the walls, floor, partition or doors of the function room any screws or nails in a manner calculated to damage same. All day and evening functions must terminate by 17h00 and 23h00 respectively, unless a later time is specifically agreed in writing with the Hotel, at the time the booking is made. Functions finishing after these times will attract a venue hire fee of R1500, 00 (fifteen hundred rand) per hour or part thereof, to cover the costs of staff overtime, transport and / or accommodation. No food or beverage may be brought into the allocated rooms by clients for consumption on the premises. Please note that the allocated venue is available on the dated booked from 06h00-23h00. Food is to be taken out of the function room at 09h30. The client shall not be entitled to assign or cede the booking to any third party not utilising the Hotel’s facilities for any purpose than that stated without the Hotel’s prior written consent which shall not be reasonably withheld. A certificate signed by the General Manager or Financial Controller of the Hotel showing the amount owing by the client at any one time and reflecting the amount thereupon as due and unpaid shall be prima facie proof of the effect therein stated for the purpose of any action (whether by way of provisional sentence or otherwise) shall be sufficient proof of the clients indebtedness on insolvency or for any purpose whatsoever. Any indulgence shown to the client shall not constitute a waiver or novation of the Hotel’s rights.

All information obtained in any brochure, or catalogue (or which accompanies or forms part of any tender made by the Hotel) which shall include prices, is subject to change and the Hotel will not be bound to comply exactly therewith. The Hotel shall not be liable for any inaccuracies in any brochures or information supplied by it which the client fails to verify with the Hotel management. Where a price increase is necessitated, the client will be notified by the Hotel within a reasonable period. The Hotel shall have the right to cancel this agreement by written notice to the client in the event that the client is placed under provisional or final liquidation, judicial management or sequestration or commits any act of insolvency as defined in the insolvency Act. Advice, recommendations or opinions by representatives of the Hotel are given and expressed in good faith and shall not constitute representations of any description, and shall not give rise to any claim against the Hotel or such representatives. This agreement constitutes the whole agreement citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement at the trading/residential address set out on the face of any agreement until the client notifies the Hotel in writing of the change of address. This agreement constitutes the whole agreement between the parties and no warranties or representations, whether express or implied not stated herein shall be binding on the parties. No agreement at variance with the terms and conditions herein shall be binding on the parties unless reduced to writing and signed by or on behalf of the parties by duly authorised persons. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and in the event of the Hotel having to institute legal proceedings against the client in terms of this agreement, then the client agrees to pay the Hotel all costs incurred in respect of such action on a scale as between attorney and own client, including collection commission.

REVIEW DATESThe below review dates have been devised in the hope of developing mutual understanding and professionalism, to establish whether or not facilities / rooms should be released back to the hotel, in order to safeguard our mutual interests and prevent losses. Should any non-compliance to the above clauses occur, Protea Hotel Malaga reserves the right to release / cancel all room allocations being held.

• Up to 60 days prior to arrival, 100% of facilities / accommodation reserved may be cancelled with no cost.• Up to 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of facilities / accommodation reserved may be cancelled with no cost.• Up to 7 days prior to arrival, 10% of facilities / accommodation reserved may be cancelled with no cost.• 7 days to 0 days prior to arrival, 100% cancellation fee will apply on facilities / accommodation reserved.

PLEASE READ THROUGH THE FOLLOWING STATED IN OUR DISCLAIMER AND INFORMATION REGARDING PAYMENT TERMS.

DISCLAIMERThe Client hereby agrees that it is a condition of their employees occupation of the property premises that the Client shall be responsible and/or liable for any accident or bodily injury to any occupant or loss of damage to any property brought by the Client’s employees upon the premises whether arising from fire, theft or from any other causes and by whom so ever caused or arising from the negligence or wrongful act of any person in the employ of the Client. The Client whose employees occupy premises in the property is deemed to contract with the Hotel on this basis. The Client further agrees that a wireless internet connection is unsecured and that their employees utilise the internet at their own risk. The Client hereby indemnifies and holds the Hotel harmless against any loss or harm whatsoever arising direct or indirect from the dissemination of any data through the use of the Hotel’s internet facilities. The Client agrees on behalf of their employees to bind their employees to the conditions of occupation of the property in question.”

Should any non-compliance to the above clauses occur, Protea Hotel by Marriott® Stellenbosch reserves the right to release/cancel all room allocations being held for (Party’s Name). Please contact the Reservations/ Banqueting department at the hotel +27 (0) 21 880 9500 should you require any additional information.

PAYMENT TERMS1. Please email a copy of your deposit slip or a proof of payment to the hotel once payment has been made to [email protected]. Please include your Company NAME and the date of your booking. 2. Should any of the payments not be received timeously, the hotel will notify you in writing that you have a further seven working days to make payment. Should payment still not be received, the hotel reserves the right to release all or some of the rooms, provided that the hotel holds those number of rooms which is proportional to payment received. 3. Any further outstanding amounts should be settled on presentation of the invoice on departure from the hotel. 4. (Party’s Name) will be responsible for full payment of all accounts unless otherwise instructed. 5. Should you have authorized credit facilities with Protea Hotel Malaga in place, clauses 1; 2 and 3 do not apply. Please forward a copy of signed company order/voucher direct to the hotel on or before 30 days prior to arrival. 6. TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, your final conference requirements will be required by the hotel. Please send these details DIRECT to the hotel.
