vows in the beautiful Sunken Garden or in the stunning Formal Garden in front of the fountains. The

Italian Gardens located outside of the Greenhouses or the Japanese Garden in the newly restored

Greenhouse is perfect for more intimate gatherings. You may also choose to immerse yourself in

stunning history as you exchange vows inside the mansion in our Sunroom & Loggia.

carefully selected Caterers to suit a variety of

Our preferred caterers maintain the highest standards in menu and presentation,

Obtaining your own SOP allows you the ability to purchase the champagne or wine of your choosing

and limit quantities according to your budget.

Outdoor Photography $275 + HST up to 2 hours outdoor

Up to 20 persons, advance registration is required. Early or Late access is available at additional $50/hour per hour.

Extra time is billed at the full regular rate x 2.

We regret we cannot offer an indoor alternative for photography in the event of inclement weather.

Water features are usually filled Victoria Day (late May) to Thanksgiving (early October). As a National Historic Site, we cannot guarantee

the condition of water features, gardens or architectural structures.

Indoor Photography $375 + HST for up to one hour inside and up to one hour outside

scheduled time inside cannot be altered and there is no in/out access as Museum Security is schedule in block times

The elegant surroundings of the main floor rooms in the mansion provide a lavish and unique setting

for wedding photography. The Sunroom & Loggia, Drawing Room, Cantilever Staircase and Orchid

Greenhouse are areas available for 1 hour of photography for up to 10 people maximum. (Please note due to extreme temperatures the Orchid Greenhouse is not available for photos from June 1 - August 31)

Your indoor reservation also allows you full access to the outdoor photography areas for an additional

hour. The exception to this is the winter months when the grounds are closed and deemed unsafe. All

passes include photos in front of the mansion all year long, snow permitting.

Photography sessions inside the Parkwood mansion are unavailable during certain times in July and August.

Some key points to remember and share with your party and photographer(s)/videographer(s) Please note that alcohol is not permitted with photography permits as Parkwood is not an AGCO licensed property.

Parkwood is a smoke free property.

Drones are not permitted due to our proximity to the Oshawa airport.

Wading or Horseplay is not permitted in the fountains or pool. Climbing onto statues, structures, walls or trees is not permitted.

Videography is permitted outdoor only.

Copyright restrictions apply to some murals in the mansion.

Photo permits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date if used within 1 year based on availability.

Parking

Parking is available on site for up to two vehicles, additionally, wheelchair parking is available with

valid wheelchair permits. FREE guest parking is available at O'Neill Collegiate - across the street

(vehicle access off Mary St. N.). Paid guest parking is available at Lakeridge Health.

Fountains & Flower Beds

Water features are usually filled Victoria Day (late May) to Thanksgiving (early October).

Flower beds are usually planted late May, dependent on weather conditions.

As a National Historic Site, we cannot guarantee the condition of water features or architectural

structures.

Mansion Tours with Event Booking

Parkwood National Historic Site is pleased to offer a tour option for your guests. Led by

knowledgeable and friendly guides, you will experience the estate as guests of the McLaughlin Family

once did as you wander through luxurious interiors and learn about the nationally significant

architecture and original furnishings, artwork and artifacts. You will gain insight into the interesting

life and lifestyle of Canadian auto baron R. S. McLaughlin.

Event guests may enjoy a one-hour guided tour of the Mansion at a special rate of $12.00 per person. Must be confirmed 30 days prior to your event.
