webquest extreme sports
TRANSCRIPT
An extreme sport (also called action sport or adventure sport) is a popular term for certain activities which have high level of danger. These activities often involve speed, height, physical exertion, and highly specialized gear or spectacular stunts.
As staff members of the
Adventure Holidays Travel Agency, you will have to solve
some important issues on the subject!
Introduction
The Adventure Holiday Travel
Agency wants to offer a new
service for young customers: a
package-holiday offering three
different extreme sports
activities that can be done in
Argentina.
Hold a debate with your
partners discussing different
options. Finally, present your
views to the Agency manager.
Task
In Pairs go through the different websites suggested in RESOURCES and
think of the possible activities which could be offered in Argentina.
Consider customers’ age, transport, accommodation, equipment, etc.
In groups of four discuss your findings and share each other’s views.
Considering that you have to offer three activities within a certain area,
take a final decision on the three activities to be offered.
Prepare a LEAFLET for the head of the Agency
Include short descriptions of the activities offered, some information
about the place where they can be carried out and images to illustrate the
offer.
