Background Information:

Forth Valley Rape Crisis works across the Forth Valley area to end sexual violence.

Our aims are to:• Challenge prejudicial attitudes towards survivors of sexual violence; • Ensure survivors have access to confidential, person centered, high quality support; • Provide a court advocacy service for survivors of sexual violence;• Provide information, training and resources relating to sexual violence;• Deliver the national Rape Crisis Prevention programme to young people aged 12 to 25 in Forth Valley

We are a member of Rape Crisis Scotland which currently has 14 member rape crisis centres across Scotland. Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre is the newest Centre in Scotland, established in January 2016, and is still working to develop and continue its services.

Job Description: Administration and Finance Worker

Title: Administration and Finance Worker

Salary: £ 21, 459 pro-rata (14 hours per week)

Location: Stirling

Length of post: to 31st March 2017 in the first instance (dependent on continued funding)

Holiday entitlement: You are entitled to 30 working days paid holiday in each leave year, pro rata. This is in addition to public holidays entitlement 12, again pro-rata, which will be added to your total leave.

Pension Entitlement: Employer contribution at 6%

Responsible to: Centre Manger

Supervision: Internal supervision provided every 6 weeks.

SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES   

1. Financial administration

To carry out general financial administration duties for FVCC, including payment of invoices and upkeep of Sage recording and administration.

To administer the petty cash system To work with the Centre Manager to prepare financial information for funding

applications and financial reporting.

2. Office administration

To maintain appropriate office systems To carry out word processing of correspondence, minutes, reports etc. To collate relevant statistical information from FVRCC monitoring systems To maintain databases and update as required To handle incoming and outgoing mail, and telephone calls To support the administration of training and events To support the maintenance of the FVRCC website Support the administration needs of the board of trustees

 3. Working effectively and safely

To attend individual supervision and team meetings. To attend on-going training as required. Adhere to all relevant legislation and organisational policies including child and

To work as part of a team. To work effectively with FVCC suppliers, contractors and partners.

- Qualification in finance or book keeping

Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience of carrying out administration in a busy office

- Excellent understanding of and experience in using a range of IT software/packages e.g. Access, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Web systems and Databases.

- Experience of working in a team

- An understanding of the voluntary sector

- Experience of carrying out administration for events and training
