Page 2: Web viewThe research title summarizes the main idea, has a concise statement of the main topic, includes the major variables, and show the relationship

GENERAL RULES1. This assessment rubric will be used in evaluating your Third Mastery Examination for SH – 3I and SH –

OJT/GAS. The two courses are fused as per university guidelines.2. Your research instructor will rate the output based on the rubrics below.3. The lead researcher will rate his/her research associates based on the gravity of effort shared. The lead

researcher MUST see to it that there is a proper basis for the grade he/she will give. The grading will be done in front of the research associates to avoid biases/personal gains.

4. The score given will be final and irrevocable unless changes are made with proper basis. Excellent (30-27 points):

Excellent to superior work in all areas as indicated in the instructors’ written expectations; exemplary performance, participation, creativity and writing; fully addresses the criterion; excellent grasp of facts, analysis and application; consistently clear statements and explanations

Good: (26-23 points):Good to fair work in most aspects; minor deficiency in relation to instructors’ written expectations regarding content, writing style or procedures; adequate grasp of facts, analysis, and practical application; clear statements and explanations are limited, but above average quality

Average: (22-18 points):Passing work, but in serious need of improvement in many areas, especially in regard to form and content; minimal grasp of facts, analysis and application; very few clear statements or explanations

Below Average (less than 17 points):

Confusing, lacks explanation or completion; little conforming to instructors’ written expectations regarding content, writing style or procedures; overall, below professional quality standards; not quality work

Area of Assessment Points EarnedArea 1. Research TitleThe research title summarizes the main idea, has a concise statement of the main topic, includes the major variables, and show the relationship of the main variables of the study. Further, it should qualify to the number of words that a research title should have (10-15 words).

Area 2. Major Research Question/StatementThe major research problem generally identifies the issue being understudied. It should be stated in a clear manner and must be explicitly presented.

Area 3. Sub-problems/questions

The question isolates, categorize, describe, or name factors and situation thus having a good structuring and construction in question form.

The question determines the relationship among factors that have been identified. Proper and correct sentence construction is followed.

The question has provided the statement on the prediction of what will happen next. It provides a clear idea of the manipulation of variables being studied.
