For every one of the seven written tasks that you complete, you receive a fixed mark for the whole group.

The task that you’ve marked as “Best Assignment” (cf. step 4) will be graded separately. This task will receive a mark for the whole group.

Rules Everyone presents a moodboard individually. The presentations take place during lessons 3,4 and 5. You prepare your speaking exercise at home. Your group work

should be completely finished before you can spend time on your moodboard during the lessons.

Instructions Step 1: Download “house_design_part_iii.1.docx”,

“house_design_part_iii.2.docx” and “house_design_part_iii.3.docx” Step 2: Prepare the exercises on pages 24-32 since you will

need this vocabulary to make sure your presentation is detailed enough.

Step 3: You are an interior decorator and you have to design a room for a client. Your client is another person in the group. Decide which type of client you will have (single mom, older lady, …) and what type of house they want (minimalistic, romantic, cosy, country style, industrial, …)

Step 4: Choose one room in the house to design (Don’t take the bedroom). Choose furniture and accessories that you like from websites of furniture shops. Include colour samples, texture samples, overall look of the room and specific types of items of furniture and decoration that you like.

Step 5: Create your moodboard by using “IPiccy”. You can find a manual on http://engels4.weebly.com/third-term.html

Step 6: Describe your room in 3 minutes. Talk about items, colours, materials, numbers of things, kind of look (urban, cottage, minimal, …). Be persuasive and enthusiastic!
