Language Essential Question: When a word doesn’t make sense, what can I do? Target Question: How do I use context clues to figure out a word I don’t know? Weekly Practices: Math fluency drills and Reading fluency practice. Mixed Practices for ELA and Math: Reading/Language Arts I can identify words or phrases that tell me how something looks, feels, sounds, tastes, or smells. I can determine the meaning of unknown and multiple meaning words using context clues in a sentence. I can use conventional spelling with common spelling patterns. Math I can add or subtract within 20 using equal but easier numbers. I can demonstrate fluency in addition and subtraction within 20. Social Studies/Science (integrated through Reading) I can identify the specialized roles and contributions of family members in the work place. I can describe the effects of various forms of motion and forces on objects. Math Essential Question: How can different strategies be helpful when solving problems?
