Welcome to the 7 th Annual FAS Summer Slam Benefit Tournament! Thanks for supporting our tournament and the American Heart Association. Games are being played at the Sharon Sealock Complex (SSC) at Braddock Park in Clifton, VA, 13241Braddock Road, just west of the intersection of Braddock Road and Clifton Road. Some things to know before arriving: If you do not have a profile on the Central Virginia ASA Website, please visit the link below and establish your team profile. This will allow us to post the tournament results, and for those teams interested, the ASA points will also be updated. http://centralvirginiaasa.com/Teams/add_Team.asp Once you have your profile, please click here to register for the tournament on the ASA website. We obviously know you are registered, but by registering here also, it will help maintain the database. This is important to publish the tournament results and maintain the points. Thanks for cooperating with us on these two items: http://centralvirginiaasa.com/Tourneys/view_Tourney.asp?ditneve=1033 YOUR TOURNAMENT ROSTER is due to the tournament director BEFORE THE FIRST PITCH OF YOUR FIRST SCHEDULED GAME. You may email it to the FAS office ([email protected] ) or bring with you to the tournament and hand to a tournament director prior to your first pitch. The maximum number of players on your roster is 20. Please note: once the roster is submitted, no additions or changes are permitted; make sure you include anyone that may be showing up late or so they are able to participate. Players need not be present to be included on a team roster. ONLY rostered players are permitted to play in any game of the tournament; and no player may play for more than one team in the tournament. SOFTBALLS FOR ALL GAMES are being provided by FAS. The ASA Dudley Thunder Hycon 52 cor/300-lb compression softball will be the only softball permitted in all games of the tournament. TIME LIMITS of no new inning beginning after 60 minutes of play will be imposed for all games except the final game of double elimination. ASA RULES govern tournament play except where superseded by FAS rules. Tie-breaking rules for bracket standings will be: Bracket record, head to head, least runs allowed in all games of bracket play, coin toss.

ASA Home Run Rules enforced. Men’s Class D Rule: Two (2). Any excess: the ball is dead, the batter is out, and no

runners can advance.

GUARANTEED 4 GAMES. Each team will play 2 games in bracket play and then advance to double elimination tournament. All games will be played on Saturday beginning at 9:00am weather permitting. If inclement weather occurs, managers of each team will meet with director to determine best course of action for remainder of tournament. Double elimination could be reduced to a single elimination or not held at all.

THE FAS FIELD STATUS LINE is: 703-662-0500 and will be updated by 8:00am on the weekends. The priority for tournament play will be bracket games.
