MathWe will continue to focus on understanding addition & subtraction. Students will learn addition strategies such as adding 0, 1, or 2, using doubles facts, or making ten to solve one- and two-step word problems. Students will write number sentences & solve story problems using a variety of addition & subtraction strategies. You can help at home by quizzing your child daily with addition & subtraction flash cards because they will need to be able to fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.
