CASTLEBLAYNEY AGE FRIENDLY TOWN
Street Survey
The Castleblayney Age Friendly Town project proposes to make Castleblayney more accessible for people of all ages and abilities. Older people are at the heart of the strategy and are the key focus of the project. Monaghan County Council in conjunction with other state agencies, service providers and community groups are in the process of identifying issues that affect accessibility in the town. More information about the project can be found at www.agefriendlycounties.com under the "Dublin & North East" section. A major element of this project is the built environment, including streetscapes and footpaths. We hope to have as many people as possible involved in carrying out the street audits to get as broad a view as possible of accessibility in Castleblayney. This includes young and old, active people, mobility impaired, buggy and pushchair users, wheelchair and walking aid users, visually impaired etc.
Please choose a route from the options shown on the map on the back page and complete the survey. If you are not in a position to survey the entire route and can only survey a short section, please make a note of this. If you have time to survey more than 1 route, it will be of great benefit to us - please fill out a separate survey form for each route. There are no right or wrong answers, so feel free to give your opinions and give as much feedback as possible.
We remind you to take care when undertaking this street survey and to be aware of your own safety and the safety of others around you.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact Carol Lambe, Administrative Officer, Monaghan County Council on 047 73725.
Please return your completed survey at a follow up meeting on Monday, 24th June at 2.30pm in Iontas, or to Castleblayney Town Council Offices, Main Street, Castleblayney
on or before the 24th June 2013.
We thank you for your participation in this project!
