Heart Rate Experiment - How will your heart rate change if you become more active?
Your heart is the most important muscle in your body. You want to strengthen your heart muscle with exercises.
Your heart never rests! What is your resting heart rate - the number of times the heart beats per minute at its slowest rate?
So now, find your heart; place your right hand over your heart (left center of your chest) - can you feel your heart beat?
Is your heart beat SLOW? MEDIUM? FAST?
Here is your experiment…...Pick a location outside; do at least 3 activities (see chart).
Example; walk around your house 3 times, or to the mailbox, or down the road - feel your heart beat. Is your heart rate slow? medium? fast? Wait 2 minutes to let your heart rate slow down - repeat by doing a different activity. Is your heart rate slow? medium? fast? Mark an X in the box for each activity you tried.
