1) Lisa read that the oranges will be good for her. She went to buy them and
found that 1 orange weighs 258 grams. What is the total weight of 8
oranges?
258 X 8 = 2,064
2) Yassin and Hamza are going to the movies with their friends. Yassin bought
10 tickets, each for 35 pounds. Hamza bought 15 buckets of popcorn, each
for 12 pounds. How much more money did Yassin spend than Hamza?
Yassin spent : 10 x 35 = 350
Hamza spent: 15 X 12 = 180
The difference: 350 – 180 = 170
3) Malak went to the mall to buy clothes. She bought a jacket for 1,450 pounds,
pants for 1,220 pounds and sunglasses for 2,595 pounds. What is the total
amount of money she spent on clothes?
1,450 + 1,220 + 2,595 = 5,265.
4) Zeina read 253 pages in 1 day. About how many pages will she read in 25
days?
