MATHS The best thing you could do is make sure you know your times tables. Every child in Year 4 should be able to answer any times table question from 0x0 to 12x12 in less than 6 seconds. Ask someone to test you. Here are some websites that could help you. How long does it take to eat your lunch? If you have a tape measure or ruler, measure yourself each week and keep a chart or graph to see if you have grown. Describe the picture, use the story starter to write the rest of the story or build up sentences: e.g. The man walked down the road. The fat, lazy man sauntered slowly down the abandoned road. Sauntering slowly, the awkward, strange man hobbled down the side street. Make up your own story, take a picture of it and email it to your teacher. Write a diary. It could be real and about you or made up. Each day you could write about what you’d like to be doing. What adventures will you go on?! Use Bug Club to read a book set by your teacher.
