Reviewing and Evaluating your Website

IntroductionIn this review I will be reviewing and evaluating the website that I have produced for my client. I will be making sure that the website is suitable for the target audience. I will then go on to make sure that the website meets its purpose. Next I will show the strengths and weaknesses of the website.

Is the website suitable for the target audience?The website was suitable for the target audience because the client have said that he wants most of the people who visit the website teenagers and this is because to catch their attention towards the events of the company and make them to learn other information that is new to the audience. The website design is very good and helpful. I can say its basic but it was created to be easier when people go around it. Website layout was made on maximum four colours that made my website look smooth and clean for the audience to view. I used four colours and they are blue, black, white and cyan. This colours are useful that made the website to look better rather than choosing other colours such as red or orange that glazing the eyes which could be bad for them. I used Dreamweaver to build my website which is the main product that I have used. I designed the logo on Photoshop. The pictures that have been used in my website to represent my pages and clarify the information to be more detailed. This can be strength for me because I have described each page so people understand and learn more.

How it meets the website purpose?My website purpose was to create eight pages that are linked to the company Tec repairs and add all their details inside the pages. I have met this by the company history and client needs that allow me to know what details I can add. For example, adding the company address to the contact us page. This can help people to visit the company so they sort out their issues with one of the staff. As a result, the Tec repairs company wants to catch people who aged +16 so they can get in touch with them. Also, they can have training opportunity which help to get job with the company but as low coalification.

How does the website meet the client needs?The website meet with the client needs that been described for me before I do the website. I have met this by client requirements that was to have a maximum 4 colours on the website that represent the background, fonts, website pages and more. Allowing an animated buttons or music give a good view for the website. The website should have a clear background. Inviting for young adults can give them an experience on the company. The website should have pages on different type of computer, events, about us and others.

Evaluate any changes made to the website during its developmentI made normal buttons created them with adobe Photoshop which don’t animate so I didn’t like it. As a result, I have changed my mind view and restarted to do the work again because I have connected all the hyperlinks together but it was easy for me to restart it. I added a time and date at the top left corner. Redesigned the website logo to make it look sharp and smooth. I have added more pages to the website such as recycling and data recovery. This is because some people when they lose data they don’t make backup and that be big issue for them. Some of the customers recycle his product without taking the hard disk drive and this can allow people to restore all his data which won’t be good. This is good for the website because it can warn people to undo this mistakes.

Comments from peer questionnairesThe first feedback was from ketrya. He said “the navigation is very good and easy to use”. He liked my website and said “The website isn’t slow to load and all the links on the site do work”. This was positive for me because I have done really well. Ketrya noticed that I need to add date and time. I have added it to my website at the left top corner.

The second feedback was from Christos. He said “the visual presentation of the website is very professional and all the colours and layouts are fit for purpose. I would not suggest any changes. Just need to resize the text of homepage to make it bigger”. I have made changes to this issue and resized the text to be bigger.

The third feedback was from Dinusan. He said “There are no other improvements which I can suggest on which you could enhance the website on because it is already good and I have no other features you could add to improve the website”. By this I have completed my website with all client needs.

The navigation of the website is very good and easy to use. I don’t think it needs any improvements regarding the navigation.

I like the colours of the website as it relates to the technology theme of the site. Ahmed could have added even more colours to make his site attractive and more appealing.

The website is really easy to use. The only suggestion I would make is that he should use bigger writing for people with eye sight problems.

The website isn’t slow to load and all the links on the site do work.

I would suggest you place a video on the site as it would grab the attention of the user using your website.

The website loads very fast and all the links work on each page. It can resist abnormal testing. I would not suggest any changes as it is perfect the way it is.


I would suggest voice on text commands, but that’s a change that will not improve the website on a big level.

The navigation of the website is good as it enables the user to go to the pages which they want to navigate, there is no improvement needed as it is already good.


In my opinion there are no needed improvements to the visual presentation of the website as it has good colour combinations and the layout of the webpage is good as there are no errors.


It is easy to use the website because the website is easy to understand and you are able to navigate to all the pages you want to go to.

The loading speed of the website is average as it doesn’t take too long and it is not really fast.



There are no interactive features I can suggest as you already have the needed features.


There are no other improvements which I can suggest on which you could enhance the website on because it is already good and I have no other features you could add to improve the website.

Three suggested improvements that could be made1- Adding background to the website to make the view more professional.2- Adding animated intro for the entrance of homepage 3- Changing the font and colours of the text

Conclusion

After building the website and developing all the features. I decided to write my overall conclusion. As a result, I have made good progress with this website and I think I should improve many things in the future. However, the features that I need to add is disability mode, background theme, adding animated intro for the entrance of homepage, changing the font and colours of the text and other things that suits the users. This can help me to improve all the issues that I have faced during my website journey so as I think I should do this next time so I get graded very well. This can be positive for me and this is because it could help me to work and achieve a high coalification.
