It received its first radio play on 1st May from 6Music’s Steve Lamacq and has since been played by Shaun Keaveny and Marc Riley. It is also being played by John Kennedy on Radio X and it has been his X-Posure show’s ‘Hot One’. Describing the track as, “a monstrous, preposterous riff for monstrous preposterous times,” Barry Hyde says ‘Jekyll’ is, “a violent song about my childhood disgust at the grinning, jeering faces of certain fellow primary school students (even the nice ones) whenever there was a playground fight. It left a scar in my psyche that I just can’t shake. A song for the animal part of us all. With love from The Futureheads.” The band are currently touring the UK and will play a sold out show at The Garage, London on 29th May. Full tour details below.
