Payment: Bring the $60 to the office in the payment envelope provided. When you return payment for a box, you are welcome to take another one. Prizes: See Sale Prizes flyer enclosed today. Goal: Sale of 400 boxes will earn $12,000 for updated modern play equipment. Each family is asked to sell a minimum of one case; each bar sells for only $1 each; 60 bars in a box. Family Registration Fee for 2019-2020 ~ Early Bird DiscountsWe are offering discounts on the $260 Family Registration Fee: Payment in full for those paying by Feb. 8 is $160. (A $100 discount!) Payment in full for those paying from Feb. 11 - 28 is $210. (A $50 discount!)     Payment in full for those paying from March 1 to April 30 is $260. (A minimum down payment of $50

is due in February to establish your intent to return. The $210 balance is due no later than April 30.)  Payment of the Family Registration Fee secures your spot for next year and must be paid in full no later than April 30. Beginning May 1, priority in enrollment will be given to families (new or returning) whose registration fees are paid in full.

Renewal of AccreditationBased on survey responses from parents, faculty and staff, we have selected the first goal for our school Action Plans. Goal #1: GCS will fully integrate the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards and ensure that 80% of the faculty and student body achieves competency on the ISTE rubric. If you have any further input on this goal or just want to give it a thumbs up, please send your feedback to the school principals, Sr. Cynthia and Ms. Jackson.

Complete Online Enrollment for your children for 2019-2020 Starting Feb. 4. Online Enrollment is now open in the Parent Portal. You can log in to your RenWeb Parent Portal Account. If you don’t have an account, Create An Account. To do this:

1. Got to GCS website, www.guardiancatholic.com2. Click on the Parents Web icon in the left column of the page. 3. Create an account if you haven’t done so yet. 4. If you have an account, login with your current UN and PW.5. On the left side of the page click on Apply/Enroll 6. Click on the Enrollment, Reenrollment button

All families are required to do an Online Enrollment annually to update your data and state your intention to return or not. If you do not plan to return, go to Online Enrollment and select the button Will Not Enroll.

Are You Enrolling a New Child in 2019-2020?If you are enrolling a child who does not attend GCS now but who will attend in 2019-2020, go to www.guardiancatholic.com, click the ADMISSIONS button and complete an Online Application for this new child. Please do NOT do an Application for children enrolled now; do Online Enrollment.

Valentine’s Pancake Breakfast to Support Guardian Catholic School Saturday, Feb. 16, 8-10 am, Applebee’s @ 843 Lane Ave South Bring your family and friends, and join us for the Parent Leadership Team Sponsored Breakfast. Meet and dine with your teachers. Take a family Valentine’s photo. Meal includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage (coffee, juice or tea). Fill out your order form, attach cash or check and send to office by February 8. Join us and let our faculty and leadership team serve you. Additional order forms in office.

Eighth Graders Request Donations for Concession SalesEarn volunteer hours by bringing donations of pickled sausage, tortilla chips for Nachos, Nachos cheese sauce, diet Coke, Hot Chips, Jalapeno peppers, Skittles sour or regular, Sour Patch, Snickers, M&M peanuts & plain, Starburst sour & regular. Earn 1 volunteer hour for every $5 worth of donations. Valentine Candy GramsEighth graders are selling candy grams for Valentine’s Day beginning February 1 Yearbook Sales -- Order yours now for $20; prices go up on March 1Order forms were sent last week for the 2018-2019 Yearbook which features students inall grades. Ads are available for those wanting to promote their church, business, or honoryour 2019 GCS graduate! Contact the office if you need another order form.

Dismissal ProceduresWhen you pick up your children at dismissal, driving through the car line is recommended and preferred! However, pedestrians parking at Gateway are reminded to model for your children the rules for crossing streets safely. Walk to the crossing guard and use the crosswalks provided on Norwood Avenue and in the school parking lot. Avoid the dangerous situation created when you choose to jaywalk instead of using the safety measures that have been put in place. Thank you for working together to improve our safety.

VPK Registration Is Open for 2019-2020.

Earn a $100 Credit by Referring a New Family Who Successfully EnrollsShare your positive experiences at Guardian Catholic with others and invite them to join us. New families should submit an Online Application now by clicking the ADMISSIONS button on the home page of the school website, www.guardiancatholic.com. Current families who refer a new family who is eventually enrolled in the school will earn a $100 credit on next year’s school fees.
