Columbian Exchange Population Effects
● There was many different populations that the people over time had believed. The most common amount of people that they believed in was about 60 million people. They now believed that the population was between 40 and 100 million people. (www.shmoop.com/columbian-exchange/summary.html)
● The repopulation of the New World, led to the horrible terrors of slavery. The repopulation helped with the population of the world.
New World and Old World ● The New World had plenty of new plants and
animals to give to the Old World tomatoes, curry, corn, beans, potatoes, avocado, blueberries, etc. The animals that were in the New world were dogs, llamas, guinea pigs, fowl, horses were also found in the new world.
● New farming equipment such as the plow was ignited in the New World. The plow was
2 important because it helped cultivate the land. The plow was a wooded sort of machinery pulled by an ox.
DISEASE- The Columbian exchange was often praised
for good things like new animals, plants, and food, but things were always good. Some of
the diseases found during the time of the Columbian Exchange were Smallpox, Measles, Malaria, Yellow fever, Influenza, Chicken Pox
