Day 1

- Read The Sacred Ganges (Epic)

- Do you think this river is used differently to the rivers in our Country? Can you find any examples of different/same uses.

Day 2

-Read and have a go at the Rivers non-fiction reading comprehension (saved onto the website)

- Can you have a go at writing the build up to your spooky story?- Use the word mat and the spooky pictures to help you (saved on the website last week) if you get a bit stuck for ideas.- I’ve also saved a ‘planning a story’ frame that shows the different stages of a story to help you with this – if you get stuck you can always ask me for help!

Day 3

-Read Are Haunted Houses Real (I’ve saved this on Epic for you) – have you ever visited a haunted house? Would you like to??

-Continue with your build up – if you get this finished then you could have a go at planning the dilemma part of your story (which we’ll be writing next week) – you can do this on the story planner that I’ve saved onto the website.-Don’t forget to share your story build ups with me on Class Dojo so that I can give you some comments and guidance

- White Rose Maths Home Learning Calculating angles on a straight line (week 10 lesson 3)https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/Plus, Fluent in 5 Week 34 – day 3 (document sent via ParentMail) and the remaining 2 lessons across the rest of the week;-and if you have time calculating angles around a point (lesson 4 for White Rose Maths) You could also have a go at the Friday challenge.
