We know that good stories have a beginning, a middle and end. Today, you are going to use this picture as the setting of your story. You need to start your story by using adjectives to describe the Viking village below. Ask yourself, what time of day is it? Where is it? What is the name of the village? Don’t forget your capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. Read it out loud to check it makes sense. Reading Please use phonics games on www.phonicsplay.co.uk . Maths

Practise counting in 2s up to 100. Start at zero. Start at any even number. Ask the children if they notice a pattern. Use this number square to paint the numbers to help to see the pattern.https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/paint-the-squares

Look around your house - find 10 things of different sizes to measure. Use a tape measure or ruler to measure in centimetres. Write the measurements down. What else could you use to measure things with? Hands or paces may be. You could measure the length of your bedroom, living room or garden as well as smaller things. Which is the longest/tallest thing? Which is the shortest/smallest thing? https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/measuring-in-cm

Login in to Mathletics and play the measurement games that have been allocated.

Creative CurriculumIf you have an Ipad or tablet see if you can download the ‘Beebot’ App and work out how to use it. Can you write algorithms (a posh word for instructions) to direct your Beebot around the course.
