CALO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Narrative Report on National Teachers’ Month and World Teachers’ Day Celebrations 2015 Teachers have always been regarded as the noblest profession. With teachers, professions become professions. Teachers are considered brains behind the people who become experts or achieved a great deal. Teachers are the light of every person’s brain, the heart of a single soul, the pillars of those who do not have guts, the voices that keep on saying, “You can do it!” Once a year on the 5th of October, the World teachers’ Day is celebrated. The day which is held annually, commemorates teachers’ organizations worldwide. It aims to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers. Calo Elementary School joined in the simultaneous celebration of the World teachers’ day last October 5, 2015. The short program was led by the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) with the guidance of their adviser, Mrs. Maribeth P. Vergara, and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) officers lead by their president, Mrs. Marieta F. Gallardo as tribute to the teachers. The program started with a prayer for the teachers headed by a grade V pupil, Mayel Gallardo, followed by the National anthem led by a grade VI pupil, Jaredde Olea. The principal, Mrs. Dina B. Aquino said the opening remarks followed by a message of gratitude from Mrs. Marieta Gallardo, PTA President and a message form Brgy. Calo’s very own Honorable Councilor Magdaleno Apello which inspired and lifted the teachers spirits more.

Teachers have always been regarded as the noblest profession. With teachers, professions become professions. Teachers are considered brains behind the people who become experts or achieved a great deal. Once a year on the 5th of October, the World teachers’ Day is celebrated. The day which is held annually, commemorates teachers’ organizations worldwide. It aims to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.

Selected pupils from different grade levels performed at the stage to showcase their talents and dedicate it to their teachers. They sang their hearts out, dance with all their might and recite poems as tributes. Everyone greeted the teachers a very happy teachers’ day and gave them letters, roses, gifts and tokens of appreciation. After the short program, pupils wrote their dedication messages on the freedom wall. To end the day right, the teachers gathered in the covered court with white balloons. They send their hopes, dreams and wishes for the teachers as well as their pupils as they release the balloons in the sky. Everyone had high spirits and was very delighted to become part of the celebration.
