WHAT CAN RESORTS DO TO FIGHT CORONA? THE GRAND HO TRAM RESORT & CASINO LEADS THE WAY IN DEALING WITH COVID- 19 AND PROTECTING GUESTS Ho Tram, 20 February 2020 – Tourism is one of Vietnam’s key economic sectors, comprising over around seven percent of the nation’s GDP in 2019 and contributing over $ 31 billion to the country’s economy in 2019. However, the coronavirus pandemic (nCoV) has hit the industry hard in the first two months of this year. The entire tourism sector has been impacted by cancelations from both foreign and domestic travelers, with airlines feeling the pinch hardest, with reports of the sector losses in the hundreds-of-millions of dollars. Thankfully for guests looking to still enjoy a vacation, but reticent to step on to a flight, the five-star The Grand Ho Tram Resort & Casino, just a two hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, is leading the way in taking measures to protect the health and wellbeing of travelers - as well as its own team - heading to the nation’s top entertainment getaway. Mr. Eddie Yago, The Grand Ho Tram’s Senior Vice President of Resort Operations said: “The novel coronavirus has impacted economies of the world, and unfortunately Vietnam is no exception.” “While 2019 set new records for both international and domestic travel, Corona has put the brakes on travel intentions for trips around the region. Still, demand for a getaway still remains, and so the team at The Grand has set itself the target of leading the industry when it comes to guest safety.” “We understand the concerns of the traveling public and have actively deployed measures to prevent the spread of infection to guests and employees alike, from the very first days of the epidemic.”

THE GRAND HO TRAM RESORT & CASINO LEADS THE WAY IN DEALING WITH COVID-19 AND PROTECTING GUESTS

Ho Tram, 20 February 2020 – Tourism is one of Vietnam’s key economic sectors, comprising over around seven percent of the nation’s GDP in 2019 and contributing over $ 31 billion to the country’s economy in 2019.

Mr. Eddie Yago, The Grand Ho Tram’s Senior Vice President of Resort Operations said: “The novel coronavirus has impacted economies of the world, and unfortunately Vietnam is no exception.”

“While 2019 set new records for both international and domestic travel, Corona has put the brakes on travel intentions for trips around the region.  Still, demand for a getaway still remains, and so the team at The Grand has set itself the target of leading the industry when it comes to guest safety.”

“We understand the concerns of the traveling public and have actively deployed measures to prevent the spread of infection to guests and employees alike, from the very first days of the epidemic.”

These measures include:

Temperature checks at key locations

All guests will have their temperature checked upon boarding the shuttle bus to The Grand Ho Tram Resort & Casino. This helps people feel safe with both their own health and that of their fellow guests. Should any suspicious cases be noted, The Grand has a 24 hour clinic on its site to attend to any guests with any such issues.
